🏡PLP's Bazaar of the Bizarre: A Study Hall for the Deviant and Delightful

I love every part of this celebration!

And one of my favorite movies of all time....

Mine too. It’s usually my answer when asked what my favorite movie is. There’s something about the movies from childhood that carry weight nothing in adulthood can rival.

And I’m a big enough fan that I still have a tv recording on VHS tape of the theater version of Goonies. It has the deleted octopus scene as well as some others that were edited out. Of course, the tv version also dubs over the whole Mouth/housekeeper dialog. So I used to switch back and forth between the two versions to watch one complete movie 🙈

I'm also totally in luv with this memory-lane-walking celebration! What a fantastic idea!
(Not to mention my appreciation for your "regularly scheduled programming"... damn sexy. The combination is delightful.)

But I just had to throw my two cents in about the old commercials, as well. They certainly are fun to see... and I enjoy them much more than I remember enjoying them the first time around, in the present.
(Nostalgia is powerful, I suppose... but it's also just funny and interesting to see "how" things have aged.)
I don't watch too many of the countless movies and television shows that I've taped over the years anymore, but I do still watch many of the old hockey and basketball games that I taped... so I see lots of those old commercials that way.
I thought that I was the only one who enjoyed them! I always learn so much here... lol.

Luv your entire thread, PLP... and all of its diverse thoughts and flavours! Fantastic.
