I just saw this and I hope you’re feeling better in the comfort of your own home! I imagine that’s a scary diagnosis and waiting sucks, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that catching it early ends up being a really good thing.

haha you're so awesome. Thank you. Sweet Trekka sent me 2 different teddy bears in the hospital. (size queen) They were very comforting and it was nice to have something to cuddle with besides all my damn tubes and wires.
I am home now though and not gotten the greatest news. I've been dealing with high liver enzymes for a little while now and waiting for an MRI. I'd already been having some side effects but by monday I couldn't even walk around my house without needing a nap and breathing like a 91 year old chain smoker. By Tuesday I couldn't even hold water down so we took me to the ER
When I was first admitted they told me I had DKA- Diabetic ketoacidosis
So, I was immediately put on a Diabetic drip, and they started running more tests. 2 sets of X rays. LOTS of bloodwork, a CT scan and an MRI
Those basically showed inflammation around my bile ducts and pancreas. So, they moved onto a ERCP- Endoscopic retrograde Cholangial Pancreatography
2 cameras down my throat and they were able to see some blockages in my bile ducts, so they added a couple stents. But they also came across a Mass. Another camera and they took biopsies.
Because of it being a holiday weekend. They told me I probably wouldn't have my results until next week but they suspected cancer. That meant another CT scan to see if anything had spread. They do not believe it has and that we've caught it early.
I was severely dehydrated so they kept me on IV drips with antibiotics and pain meds and by yesterday they said if I could keep the oral versions down I could go home. I came home late lat night and was told before I left it was definitely pancreatic cancer. Emergency referrals went in for a GI surgeon and an Oncologist.
One day at a time for now until I know more and have more answers, but in the mean time I will do everything in my power to still go camping with this lovely lady next week.
