Do you, or do you not make your bed every day? Why, or why not?

Pretty simple really. Or is it? You decide.

Say as much or as little as you like.

Some questions to think about-

What does it say about you? What does it say about someone else? Is it just bullshit and doesn't mean anything at all? Does it affect your day if you miss making your bed? Do you let your pets sleep in it with you? Do they dirty it up? If you are a bedmaker, is it just kind of thrown together, looks like a hotel, military style- or what's your style? Say more.

(This is critical to national security and the national economy. Critical!)j/k

Just have fun with it. 😊

I do make the bed daily.

It is a pleasure to me to go to bed at night in a nice neat bed that's not all fucked up looking.

I don't let the dog on it- dirty paws, ewww.

I shower before bed too. Sleeping on old sweaty sheets does not appeal to me- but if its due to sex, fuck it, who cares.

A messy bed makes my whole room look messy. I keep a clean house, so that has to be done.

What about you?

I don't make it every day, but I should! I live alone but it feels nice to come home to a tidy bed. It's a small pleasure that I should give myself more often.
Small pleasures. I like it. Good way to treat yourself.

I'm a lazy bed maker. I don't do the full make up. I just simply throw the blankets over it enough to cover the bed. I can't get to one side (wall) so that side doesn't look as pretty. But I have a canopy bed and my cat likes to walk around the top, so his little white hair gets everywhere. That bitch uses the Chandelier as his personal grooming brush. So yes. I like it to be covered.
For anyone who does have animals. I really am liking the pet hair dryer sheets. They've helped a lot.

Your cats didn't really lay on the bed upstairs... They instead opted for my suitcase! 🤣

I start out with the best intentions. I make the bed, military corners and all, but then as the week goes on, I pretty much just pull up the blankets and straighten the comforter and pillows.

I love my bed, which is a king size box spring bed with a mattress topper, a firm mattress and a padded navy blue fabric headboard that is great to lean back against for reading.

I do make my bed every day, it’s not a huge job, I just have to puff up the pillows and straighten the feather duvet. I usually fold it in half on the bed as it looks neater.

It's hard enough to get out of bed in the first place.

I rarely make the bed. I do pull the covers up to keep the dogs from laying on the sheets, but it really only gets made when I change the sheets.

I don't really make my bed except when I'm putting fresh sheets and covers on. The rest of the time I'll just leave it where I've thrown them back when I get out.

I do make my bed every day. I love having a tidy bed to get into and it makes me feel better. I'm quite particular about pillows and bed linens etc.

I do - when your bed is neatly made, the clean clothes you throw on it instead of folding them and putting them away, are much easier to sort through when they aren’t getting lost in the messy covers. :D

I can’t go through with the rest of my day if the bed isn’t made.

I wish I could successfully in-still this behaviour in my children but unfortunately they both prefer their bedrooms to look like the after image of Chernobyl.
Yea mine can't seem to get it done either. They may one day. The older one does on occasion, which is 100% better than it was before.

Please, oh wise one, pass on your parenting voodoo to me.
Only thing I can say is be consistent in the message and avoid being a nag. Eventually, something clicks.

When they get older, their image towards dating opportunities starts to matter at some point and then they suddenly remember what mom and dad always said.

Yeah, kinda. I straighten up the pillows and sheets, and waft the duvet up in the air to land nicely on the mattress again. But I cannot be doing with throw pillows or fancy crap that makes the bed look like a hotel one. And I hate tucked in top sheets, I feel claustraphobic in them, so if I have a top sheet it's never tucked in anyway.
