So little known tidbit from my past: when I was in college I had some friends who were in the film department and they were making their class project: a horror movie.

I asked them if they needed any help with it and they said no but later I found out they had needed someone to play a minor antagonist and ended up just grabbing another student to do it with only an hour to get the job done

Always stuck with me and inspired this idea:

MC loves power play and is open about being bisexual and having quite the appetite…but in her ordinary life no one believes her. Most people think she’s straight and is either just trying to be an ally, does it to impress guys, or is pretending and when it comes to being dominant everyone thinks she’s joking or she doesn’t know what she’s talking about and they need to educate her.

Pissed off she goes online. Behind anonymity she is able to talk to others about her frustrations and needs and even starts a dom/sub relationship online with a couple of accounts.

Things are going well but it’s clear she and her subs would like to do a real meetup.

Does she try and hide her look or put on a different persona for her subs or does she just be herself come what May?

I definitely would prefer the latter. Like my thought was that she’s very effeminate and even has a very warm personality and possibly even a Georgia accent. So people who have met her in real life think this woman who say “sugar” unironically and loves the color pink is having a laugh when she says she prefers being the dominant one in a relationship.

Course the twist could be that one of her online subs winds up being someone she knows in real life.

Your idea sounds like my life in both during the early days of my transition, and when I was a cam girl. I mean, I still live a double life, and I put a different persona, as I was a headless cam girl. It wasn't difficult for me because I always liked all things intrigue.

Now, about your story, maybe you can try to combine the two. You might want to have her be herself, but not too much, and thus a bit of a persona might form. With the twist involved at the end, I could make the stakes higher.

Thank you and I like that approach: maybe she starts with just text with her subs so her accent and appearance aren’t a factor at first but then she moves to audio: she’s somewhat self conscious but she doesn’t fully hide things. She keeps a warm voice but cuts out some of her affectations and tries to go with a more general southern accent.

Maybe at that point she even asks her subs what image they have of her in their mind. At first it’s curiosity and a bit of worry but then a transition to her doing some neck down video (where again, she is subdued but doesn’t completely hide her normal fashion: she doesn’t do corsets or black leather (maybe she even makes a point of it by saying something like “oh you thought I’d go to all the trouble of lacing myself up just because you were a good puppy today? Be glad I felt like even dressing up at all” but she also chooses some less bold options).

Of course the meet up is coming (and it’s not just her subs, she also wants it too) and she knows she can’t keep up a persona for a Full day so maybe she shifts towards using her natural accent and wearing her typical outfits (both what she normally wears as well as what she feels is a sexy outfit for her).

Of course that could be (if she hasn’t already figured out one of her subs is someone she knows) the point where one of her subs realize they know her.
