I am new to the Chicago area, and to this site. I find the stories endlessly 'entertaining' while I am alone and getting to know my new surroundings.
So there you have it. A female. In Chicago. But shy in the most extreme as work takes up a lot of my time and I haven't had time to get used to socializing yet.

From what I've seen of Chicago thus far, it is a beautiful place. I've only just arrived here from the UK last week and managed to make it to the Celtic Fest downtown this past weekend (so many people in one place!), but it was worth getting out of a stuffy house to take a look around and get some fresh air.
Being an voracious reader and coffee drinker - do any of you lads have a cafe or coffee shop to recommend on the north/near-north side of the city? Preferrably one open until late at night. I'm having a hard time adjusting to the time zone and keep late hours.
Also, being so closely situated to Wisconsin - I would like to plan a few weekend trips up there...Do you chaps have suggestions on any outdoorsy activities in/around southern Wisconsin/Northern Illinois?

I do apologize for the nasty message in the midst of all these nice ones, but I'd rather address his behaviour here rather than do it at work where one of us could be dismissed for creating a scene. And give the problems they have been having with Mr. SexyPics of late, it would have been he that would have found himself on the dole.
