Any benifits or drawbacks can be discussed here.

Seriously.... and viewpoints?

:)

Maybe more-so in infant's - specifiacally:- to do or not to do.

Lot's of medical studies out there, both for and against. One camp claims it desensitizes the penis, the other claims that not doing it breeds infection and smell.

Bottom line is, pediatricians say its a matter of personal preference - that both sides have their merits, and both perpetuate unfortunate fictions.

I've read up on it a fairbit, but there is always an opinion or idea that I haven't thought of.

Thanks for your comments.

:)

I do know it's a bitch if you choose to get it done later in life

After seeing my share of infections and complications from an unkept, uncircumcized penis I opted to have all of my boys circ'd. I do not regret it in the least.

my brother was not done and neither was my son

~ there was never a problem with looking different than daddy, especially after it was explained why

~ there have been no medical or sexual problems of any kind related to them being uncut

~ I never fussed over my son's foreskin, but did let him know that it needed to be tended to at his discretion

~ people who make a big fuss over making the child rolling his skin back and stuff are less than wise IMO

~ my sexual experiences with an uncut man was interesting and pleasurable, not a big deal at all (well it was really big but not a problem) ;)

I need clarification.

What entails "tending to"?

and can you expand on the last point?

(yes, I'm somewhat of a simpleton)

:)

Both of my son's are uncut.

Not a problem.

Its tough enough getting born.

I was for it...until I had a child.

I can't see doing it now. It's tearing the flesh from a child who has no way of consenting or not.

I have no problems with those who do...I just couldn't

Especially if you're the mom!

The babies have the easy end - dodge the forceps and pee on the doc when he slaps you.

You aren't serious. Talk about opening a HUGE can of worms.

OK, I'll get the popcorn and watch the thread develop. :p

I know what you mean. It really scared me but I wasnt going anywhere.

To the moms, a big tip of the hat.

I guess the bottom line depends on personal preference.

I was cut when I was born as was my son. My dad wasn't cut, he had problems with it occasionally but not often, when I was a teen still living at home I once overheard mom talking with her girlfriends about the same subject and saying it's ok as long as it's kept clean otherwise it's nasty but that she prefered the way a cut one looked...Probably a little more info then I needed to know, lol.
I certainly don't know if one way is more sensitive then the other but mine is plenty sensitive enough and I wouldn't want it any other way, I especially wouldn't want it more sensitive.
My wife thinks uncut dicks are gross and smelly and even if kept clean they still look gross.

Some feel that the foreskin needs to be released, or fussed with often to prevent it from sticking to the head underneath, but it is a matter if maturity and that foreskin will not get stuck there forever 99.5% of the time.

Most boys play with there wiener in the tub anyway and I think that was enough, so I didn't feel the need to mess with it myself. My son liked to play peek-a-boo... so to speak.

The reason men get infections under there mostly has to do with an acidic or yeast loaded diet. Just like women, yeast is not usually born in the vagina or under the foreskin, it is deposited there by urine that has the yeast in it. Eat your yogurt people, to promote good flora in your system to prevent that yeasty bloat. And cut back on the salts and sugars when you can.

Cultures with more natural diets and less yeast bread have less yeast problems. The foreskin is a natural attachment that has not evolved away and I feel that doctors and insurance companies love to make us think that we need them more than we really do.

Anyone who wants to have their child done should make sure that they are properly numbed. Nothing like hearing the scream of a baby during such a procedure. Most parents never hear it. Yes DUH they do feel it, and YES it worse than an injection, and YES the procedure has risks as well, especially infection. I would never subject my child to such a horror.

My children were born with midwives, not in a hospital, and I've been very lucky to have had perfect births with no drugs, no stiches or any complications with myself or the children.

Worst story I heard about a circumcision was a hospital which used some kind of device to burn the foreskin off. There was either a malfunction of the device or the person using it because it burned off the guy penis.

Dateline did a show on when a plastics doc did the operation to give the guy a penis.

There was one about a boy baby, that err became a girl baby too that way.

Don't they need a licence to work that kind of machinery?

I have enjoyed both cut and uncut cocks, so I don't have a marked preference for either as an adult consumer of cocks. I love the slidey sensation of an uncut cock, and I love the smoothness of a cut one. I've seen cocks from both camps that could have benefitted from better hygeine, so I don't think that has to do exclusively with the extra bit of skin.

However, if I ever had a boychild, I would absolutely not have him circumcised. I think it's a brutal thing to do to a baby, and enforced more out of cultural pressure and "penis fashion" than actual functional need. I know that the foreskin is rich with nerve endings, and I wouldn't want to take the slightest chance of compromising my child's potential for full sexual pleasure as an adult.
