Personally I'm a big Star Trek fan (Deep Space 9 being my favorite), but I also like other sci fi tv shows.

So I was just wondering if there are any more sci fi fans here, and if so, what are you a fan off?

*grins* Shyguy, have you seen my tattoo?

Star Wars fangirl here.

Also, I enjoy Star Trek too, mostly Next Gen.

I'm a HUGE fan of Star Trek the Next Generation... my husband and I own all 7 seasons on DVD!

Same here but DS9 is my least favorite.. Looks like we've got Star Trek 10 on the way in 2008.. J.J. Abrams is the producer and it supposedly to be set back during Kirk's academy days when he first meets Spock and going through to the first mission on the Enterprise. I just hope they use unknowns for the established character's parts.. Also a Star Wars series on the way also set 00 years after the Episode 6 movie (#3).. Stargate and Stargate Atlantis rock.. as does the new Dr. Who, too bad we have a new actor this season... Yeah I think I watch the SciFi channel about 80% of the time.. Cone Oct and the new season of Battlestar Galactica

Huge Star Wars fan...and I liked all of the Star Trek movies with the original crew of the Enterprise. I like watching SciFi too, but I mostly watch the Ghost Hunters. Since most of their investigations are around the area where I live, I find it very interesting.

Big fan of the SW books, too. I think I have about 26 of them. Their times in the story range from just before The Phantom Menace, to 25yrs after Return of the Jedi. Yeah, I know. It is amazing I got married. :D

I like Star Wars, but more for the *cough* table-top roleplaying game then the movies themselves. Stargate is, in my opinion, the better out of SG-1 and Atlantis - but only because they got MacGyver in SG-1.

Also, the new Doctor Who is very, very cool. Such a lippy bastard! I'm still having issues with a pop-star as his sidekick, though.

Oh, and I'm ashamed of you all. How come no one's mentioned Firefly yet? I mean, c'mon!

I have always liked ST the Next Gen & I really liked Enterprise. Of course every friggin show I like they cancel. Any one else watch Farscape?

I like a large range of Si Fi shows and movies.. of course not all Si Fi is set in space.. every single movie with some sort of psudo or advanced science is a Si Fi :p

but I do like Star Trek (mainly the DS9, Voyger and Enterprise but also TNG and some orginal) Starwars, SG1, Andomada (before they learnt how to act), early farscape, I remenber watching Babalyon 5 a long time ago..., the orginal Battle Star Galatica.. and things like that...

I love the escapist hyper reality of it all.. gets me away from all the worries in real life...

It's good to see that I'm not the only sci fi geek here ;) I thought I would add a list of shows I enjoy

Firefly
The Pretender
Star Trek (TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT have them all on dvd)
Star Gate 1 (haven't seen any atlantis yet)
Taken
The 4400
Odyssey 5
Roswell

I have probably forgotten some!

Just to show Im more geek... anyone noticed the full title to this thread...

Definitely (making a career out of it too). :)

I guess my favourites would be:

Movies - Star Wars (the good trilogy), The Treks (tos and tng), Matrix, Stargate, Men in Black, Galaxy Quest (yep, I can laugh at myself)

TV - whew . . . ST (all varieties, though Voyager wasn't too hot), Farscape (still pissed that SciFi canceled it to make cheesy monster movies), Battlestar Galactica (new one), Dr. Who (both), Stargate (both), B5, Crusade, Red Dwarf, My Hero (yes, campy Brit SF/superhero, but fun). Oops, forgot Andromeda. :)

Books - Larry Niven, C.J. Cherryh, Robert Adams, Douglas Adams, Alan Dean Foster, William Gibson, Harry Harrison, R. A. Heinlein, Fritz Leiber, Alfred Bester, Neal Stephenson, and I'm starting to get into Hal Clement.

Next Gen rules all, there's no beating it. Boooooo DS9 lol

Yep, i admit it. I'm a sci/fi-fantasy geek. :D STNG & Enterprise, Firefly, SG-SG1, Battlestar Gallactica-old and new, Quantum Leap, Babylon 5.......etc.

More a book SF fan than TV.

Currently re-reading Little Fuzzy by H. Beam Piper. A very old favourite.

As far as TV goes, there was never anything that came close to Babylon 5 in my opinion. It was the last time I had to watch every week to make sure I missed nothing.

I loved the character development of it. Especially Londo and G'Kar. Their relationship and how it and they changed was a wonderful thing to watch.

And whoever designed The Shadows and their ships is a genius. First time I saw one of their ships I wanted only one thing, away from them. Scary.

Firefly showed signs of being as good. I still wonder what those 'people' were, the ones with the blue gloves.

Star Trek and Star Wars don't do it for me at all any more.

Haven't seen most of the others. Cable only and I can't afford cable.

Highlander, yes. And Twilight Zone, Outer Limits.....
Love watching Highlander. just hope the new movie being done is better then the last couple of ones..

Yes, I love Sci-Fi

Star Trek was good, I'd watch it not religiously. DS9 was cool, original star trek was cool and next generation.

I loved Quantium Leap. I loved Time Trex. Both actors, so cute!

I like the 4400 on USA and Dead Zone. I put those in the same Sci-Fi catagory.

I love the Sci-Fi channel. That is the only reason I'd have digital cable. Firefly was a great show and Serenity was the best movie. I watched Farscape and loved it when the actors from Farescape joined Stargate SG-1. Oh and I liked that one show called John Doe I think, with the dude from Prison Break and he also played the main bad ass vampire in Blade Trinity. Dominic something or other.

There's a new show called Night Watch I think is the name. Dude trying to find out who or what killed his wife and along the way finding all these unexplained occurances.

I love it when Vala makes men squirm. Especially Daniel Jackson, he's so cute!

Couldn't get into Dr. Who.

I like Stargate and Atlantis. Also, Battlestar Galactica...

I wish they had some good Sci-Fi shows on Saturdays, then our weekends would filled. Though of course if that was the case I might never go out!
