Time has slipped by for those in hiding. Those half Angels, children with wings. After being experimented on for years they have been scarred both physicaly and mental and their burdens are shown. Upon each child that has grown into a teen a pair of useable wings sits on their backs. The have found a haven, a house by a lake secluded from everyday life where they would be scorned and set in side shows as freaks. They live in secerecy afraid to be caught once again by the evil man who did this to them in the beginning, Dr.Jake.

Darkness, I could hear their screams.

They're only children, why have we been so punished and hurt?

Lilith sat, you could say she was huddled in the small cage, that was the only way anyone of average size could be in the cages. It didn't help that her wings spanned almost 10 feet, no that didn't help at all. Her heart reaced beneath her pale calm exterior. Today was the day, none of the others knew it was going to be their day of freedom, the day they could finally fly. THey all hadn't been in the cages as long as she had, but then she had only caught passing glances at them her years at the School. She knew there was at least one more person her age there, but the little ones were who she was worried about.

Even with the deep thinking that was going on Lilith could hear the footsteps. The footsteps that haunted her dreams.

She woke with a start, her body jerking. Her long raven wings unfurling as she pushed a few 'garish' colored strands from her face. She hoped she hadn't screamed, the others had enough nightmares without worrying about her. She got up, and dressing stepped out onto the roof. The night was dark but the moon shone on the lake crystal clear. She hated remembering the bad old days, she lit a cigarette and pulled deep on it, letting out the smoke to swirl over her head. They were free now, they could fly as they like, they could be free. Or at least she hoped.

Eve

sounds interesting. Not sure of character descriptions yet still mulling that over but I do have a name.

Eve. I know!! Lillith and Eve. But what better way to start!!

Wanted to let you know I am in and will post character stats as soon as possible if this is okey!

Name: Michael
Age: 20
Looks: Black hair. 5'9 athletic. His chest and back muscles defined due do the experimentation, and use of his wings. Rimless glasses.
Wing color: Black on the outside. Navy Blue on the inside.
Clothing: Black loose fitting jeans. He never could figure out how to put his shirt on over his wings. So around the house he didn't wear one. When he went out. He usually wore a long black trench coat.
Personality: Michael was quiet and passive. When put into a corner he had a wrath which scarred even him.
Other: Michael hates his name. It was a joke Dr. Jake played on him. Naming him after the Archangel.
Bio: Michael preffered to stay home during the day, sleeping through most of it. He preffered the night air. The soft light of the moon. He especially liked the rain.

OOC: Hope you don't mind :) Anything that doesn't fit. Let me know.

IC:

Michael was already perched up on the roof of the house. He held a book in his hands. His dark wings concealed most of his upper body. With an occasional glance to the night sky he would loose himself in it. There wasn't much he liked about his wings. Actually he hated Dr. Jake for what he did. Giving him these freakish things. And yet, at the same time he thanked the deranged doctor. For giving him the freedom to do as he will. Up there. Where the air rushed thru your hair. Where the wind carressed your skin and whispered in your ear.

Michael was used to being alone at night. Lost in his thoughts on the roof. Of course he did like the company of those he lived with. They were like him. Experiments. Once tortured youths. Until that day when they had broken free. Scarred to death as the white mansion on the hill slowly faded away as soared above the treetops.

Lilith, emerged from the window to his right. Turning in his crouched posistion he lowered his book with his thumb as a bookmark. "Can't sleep sis?" Granted not a single one in the house was related. They all felt the bond of a family. They were in a sense, each others extended family.

Lilith lit a cigarette, inhaled, letting the smoke fill her lungs, before exhaling and letting it swirl about her before finally disappating into the wind. Michael slipped his fingers thru his hair pushing them from his face before looking back out at the lake. The moon shimmmering over the water.

OOc: Welcome ^^

Lilith sighed and looked to him, she hadn't thought anyone would be awake this time of night. "Yeah, you know me, Ms. Hardcore insomniac." she joked, laying back on the roof and staring at the moon. "What about you? Reading in the dark again?" she asked letting out another exhale of smoke,

"I was thinking about a late night swim, wanna join me?" she asked flicking the spent butt over the edge of the roof as she sat up and looked at the steam coming off of the lake.

Smiling, Michael set his book down on the rooftop. "Yeah, the dreams do keep us awake don't they?" He knew she had them. They all did. Dreams. Nightmares. And on rare occasions the waking dream. "Of course. Why do you think I have to wear glasses?" Smirking as turned his attention from the lake back to her.

"Actually the water has been looking inviting these past few nights. Sure lets go." The dim red embers from the cigarette butt were flicked over the edge of the roof, slowly dieing to nothingness. Michael stood up and stretched his arms to the side and stretched his legs, allowing the blood to flow thru them. Turning toward the lake he outstretched his dark wings, looking over his shoulder. "comming?"

Jumping off the roof his wings caught the cool night air. Flapping them twice to gain just enough altitude to fly above the trees, he soared slowly toward the water. The air rustling his wings as he cut thru it. Lilith soon followed behind him.

Lilith smiled. She nodded and got up, letting her cig packet and lighter stay on the roof as she followed him, diving and swooping in the moonlight before landing on the shore. She loved these late night swims, especially with Micheal. Out of all of the people in the house, he was the one she felt closest to.

She closed her wings, flattening them against her back she kicked off her pants and dived into the water, letting the warmth wash through her as she surfaced. "It is beautiful," she called to him.

Michael landed softly on the moist dirt. Folding his wings behind him, he removed his shoes. Pulling his pants off he folded them before setting them on the rock next to his shoes. Smiling watching Lilith do the same. He removed his glasses and set them down. Standing now in only his boxers he watched as she dove into the water. "Is it? My turn."

Pushing off the ground he jumped into the air, his wings flapping hurridly to overcome gravity. Skimming over the water he let his fingers drag over the surface. Opening his wings wider he caught the wind and soared up. Smiling before straightening his body. He closed his wings around him and dropped feet first into the water. Swimming over to Lilith who wasn't too far away.

"Your right. It is nice."

"Show off," she smiled as she watched him fly over and jump in. "I think it has a hot spring under it or something, it's always so warm." she said to him as she tread water where she was as she looked at him.

"Mm, if anything ever helps me forget everything it's always this lake," she sighed and let herself float on her back.

Laughing he wiped his face free of water. Treading water near her he looked up at the full moon tonight. The dim bluish light from the moon illuminating the lake and the surrounding forest. "Don't be jealous. You love it when I show off anyway and you know it." chuckling he dove under water and came up on the other side. The lake always felt refreshing.

Relaxing, Michael floated on his back along side Lilith. His hands moving in slow circles to keep him steady he agreed with her. "Its like it washes everything away. I don't think we could have picked a better spot."

"Yeah, well sometimes I feel like the house picked us," she joked and sighed as she let her wings steady her in the water. She turned then, letting her feet kick out to steady her. With a smile she splashed Micheal and ducked under water, swimming away from him.

Michael was intruiged by her response. Starring up at the moon, the soft sounds of their bodies pushing the water around to steady themselves as they floated atop the lake. All he heard was the splash. Next thing he knew he was struggling to stay afloat. The water had surprised him more then it should have but he was lost for a moment.

He quickly gained his composure and sunk his legs into the water righting himself. Watching as Lilith swam away beneath the water. Michael took a breath and ducked beneath the water swimming after her. He couldn't help but admire the way her body moved thru the water. The way she made the water part for her, rather then force herself thru the water. Comming up for air he dove back beneath the water and caught up grabbing a hold of her ankle.

Lilith almost jumpped as she felt him grab her ankle. She hadn't expected him to catch her, but she smiled none the less, letting him pull at her as she surfaced. "Hey no fair you caught me," she joked standing rather close to him, forcing him to let go of her ankle.

She smiled at him as she pushed her wet hair from her eyes and looked at him, something about the moonlight lighting him made her heart beat faster in her chest, she shook it off, breaking eye contact. A long moment had passed when she was staring at him. She looked away, afraid she had looked dumb staring at him. "I guess you win," she joked trying to break the silence.

Michael surfaced still holding her ankle. Her skin was soft beneath his touch. Lilith emerged from the water and treaded water near him. His grip on her ankle broken. They both brushed their wet hair from their face. He held her gaze for a moment, lost in her eyes, before she turned away. He took a deep breath. The silence of the moment echoing thru the night.

Spreading his wings in the water he used them to tread water, trying it out. It didn't really work, folding them back around his body he used his arms. "I won ! Wait, what did I win?"

Lilith couldn't hold back a giggle. "Well, never mind," she joked diving under and pulling at his legs trying to pull him under. She almost never acted this way unless she was around him. She smiled and surfaced, trying to swim away before he caught up with her.

"Well, never mind,"

"Wait wait, whatcha mean nevermind? you said I..." He trailed off as she dove beneath the water. He knew his question wasn't heard as she dove beneath the water. No sooner was she gone then did she tug at his legs, pulling him under for a second. Laughing the dove beneath the water and swam after her.

Michael's longer body allowed him to catch up to her quickly, wrapping one hand around her ankle again, the other around her calf, pulling her up. He, like her, was really only comfortable with the other. Sure he got along with the others at home. But there was a certain connection they both shared.

Lilith smiled and let him pull her to him as he gripped her ankle and now her calf. SHe hoped he didn't feel the shiver that went up her body with his touch.

Why did she feel this way? Why did it feel so wrong to want to feel his hands on her, his lips on her. She shook her head as she surfaced and pulled from him. "I guess I suck at tag," she smiled pushing the thoughts from her mind.

Name: Amy (Amethyst) Live
Age: (18-20) 19
Looks: 4' 11" faded purplish red hair, lavendar eyes with silver pupils, very child-like facial features, very slender or raily
Wing color: wings of shimmering mother of pearl with faded purple tips
Clothing: long dresses to hide her skinny legs shades of dark purple or burgandy
Personality: Very quiet and moody. Seldom smiles but when she does.. terrible things happen afterwards
Other: Purple heart shaped pearl embedded in her forehead (covered by her bangs)
Bio: Amy was found in an orphanage in Brazil after her missionary parents were declared missing by the church. Dr. James faked documents claiming that he was her last living relative and brought her to the States. Amy refused to talk to anyone which made many nervous when she glared and her pearl glowed an eerie white. Yet she has a natural talent to make things grow rapidly which is why she has a knack for vegetable gardens.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Amy was brought to the woods and dumped by one of the people that despised Dr. James' work. The woman seemed like a grandmotherly type at first until the tests began and scarred the child even more.
She was free and wondered in the woods for nearly a month before finding the lake. Amy resorted to primative behavior and would eat whatever she caught or found growing wild. Until someone found her and brought her to the haven where she found safety for the first time in thirteen years.
Often times Amy can be found in a huge oak near the house staring at the sky. Others wondered what she was thinking as she gazed skyward but never managed to gain an answer.
Amy looked like she was the hardest one to get thru to because she didn't talk. After a while some wondered if she really could.
Okey, I hope this is character description enough for ya. If ya want more let me know. And AWAY we go........
Name: Eve
Age:19
Loooks: About 5'4 slim with long black hair and piercing blue eyes.
Wing Color: crimson the color of blood
Clothing: Gothic style turn of the century Corsets and gowns.
Other: Tattoo of a celestial moon and star on her left cheek
Personality: Sharp tongued, intelligent yet reserved. somewhat of an introvert yet enjoys the familiar people of the house.
Bio: Eve was a young girl when the good doctor found her. Being from a broken home she was lured by his promises of family and togetherness. She found comfort in the strength of Lillith, loved the smell Michael had after one of his nightly swims and the brooding way he walked around the home with his shirt off and was drawn immensly to Amy. She longed to be accepted and only wanted to be liked by everyone.
IC:
Eve sat by her window and gazed down at Amy as she sat beneath her Oak.
Often times she would wonder what the girl was feeling or try to sense if there was something wrong. Eve only wanted to make everyone happy and was willing to do and go above and beyond to make things right no matter what the cost. How she longed to have the relationship that she saw between Michael and Lillith. She felt a void inside her and could not find a way to fill it. He had lied to her and now she must suffer in this life. She played with the crimson wings as she sat inside them. Crimson the color of blood she thought. Suffering always in the blood. What good would ever become her here? She would talk to Lillith about this when the time was right. For now however, she must keep these strange feelings to herself.
Name: Zackary Binks
Age: 19
Looks: Zach
Wing color: A mix between blue and black, his wings are mainly black but there are some mystic designs on there as well.
Clothing: He never found a shirt that fit well with him so he always wore a trench coat. There were holes in the back pf it which his wings stuck out comfortably. There was an attachable and detachable piece of cloth hiding them. He also wore black gargo pants with a few tears from the long use.
Personality: He was good at thinking of what to do, making diversions and what not. Very witty but very kind, tough when need be but funny also.
Other: He has a tattoo on his left breast that resembles an angel {Tattoo 1} that glowed whenever he was in danger. And another that changes his looks and makes him stronger and fiercer, only happens when in grave danger. Tattoo glows brightly when this happens, [Tattoo 2] Located on his back.
Bio: Zach had never known his parents, well, for all he knew, he grew up on the streets, poor. He had gained a few friends that helped him along the way. He had two tattoos that he had since he was born, they never faded or expanded, making them look bad as he grew also. Zach was pointed to the Doc to help him uncover his past but he soon discovered that all the doc wanted was to research and that is also when he found out, that he was not alone. He wanted to understand.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

He ran, looking back with his trench coat on his back, he was soaked. He had been freed somehow. All he remember was running, suddenly there was a loud yell. "HEY GET BACK HERE!" The person he was looking at was not him but someone different, his father? And just as the dream came, there was pain.

Zach sat up, his chest burning, this had been his curse, after a nightmare of some sort, whatever happened in that dreamed, burned him in his body where it happened. It was never fun. He was sweating, and it was still dark out, he looked at the clock which read 12. He had slept 15 hours. He hadn't felt good earlier, so he took a nap but originally he didn't think he'd sleep that long.

Zach sat up and went to the window, stretching his arms and wings. His wings spanned about 2 times his own height which was already 6'3. His blue eyes hid the fact that he was different. Or at least, that's what he figured. He wanted friends that could understand him and accept them. And what of his parents, what were they like and what had they done to him.

Amy turned and looked to the house as if she knew that someone was watching her. She always seemed to know more then she let on as well.

Amy rose and hopped from her place and then forced her wings to completely unfurl. How brightly they shone in the paling light only to reveal the eerie glow of her eyes and that stone in her forehead.

Name: Gabriel
Age: 20
Looks: Gabriel is somewhat short and slender, though he has lean muscles and is stronger than you would suspect. He has a slightly dark complexion that never seems to deepen in the sun. He dies his hair, because his natural color is snow white and he thinks it makes him stick out to much.
Wing color: INDIGO
Clothing: For the most part, Gabriel wears loose drawstring pants and tank-tops. He doesn't own a pair of shoes and the cold ground never seems to bother him, even in winter.
Personality: Gabriel is a free-spirit. He spends most of his time playing his guitar, reading, making stir-ups involving eggs mixed with anything and everything he can get his hands on, walking in the woods and knitting. He does work, when he really has too. His lean muscle mostly comes from swimming and wood cutting. He keeps the house supplied with wood for the fire-burning stove.
Bio: Gabriel escaped the doctor's experiments at a very young age. He has little memories of them. He was found and raised by a couple of old hippies living in a trailer. They let him be who he wanted to be. When his wings came, they knew that they couldn't hide him. The doctor go word of his home and went after him. What followed was a few years of Hell, not remebering who it was that was chasing him and not understanding why he was being chased. He eventually found the House and some peace.

IC: Gabriel padded down to the kitchen in his bare feet, wearing a pair of loose flannel pajama pants with Sylvester The Cat on them, and nothing else. He had horrible bed-head which only grew worse and he scrateched at his skalp. It itched. He really needed a hair-cut, but he was to lazy to bother.

He entered the darkened country kitchen and pulled a carton of eggs from the circa 1955 ice box. He put a black iron skillet on the stove and started to follow up the eggs with other ingrediants: a bottle of curry ketchup, half a cup of left-over peperoni, a half-full jar of black ben salsa, a few whole leaves of spinich and a sandwich bag full of baby carrots. He started to chop up everything, getting it ready. He mixed the eggs with some milk, in a cereal bowl, and threw in spices randomly from the rack on the back of the stove. Soon the kitchen was filled with a quite unusual popouri of smells, as each ingrediant joined and mixed with the others.

Michael's wings were wrapped around his body beneath the water. The water was already warm, but he found that if he kept his wings wrapped around him, they created less drag, and allowed him to move a bit easier in the water. There was a time when he would have rather been alone. Would have rather been left alone to read, to swim, to block out those horrid images of the world they had escaped.

When they all had escaped Dr. James' experimentation and found the cabin they all stayed at now, it was strange, at first. Each one of the doctors angels coped with the new found freedom in a different way. His own was solitude. That was, until he felt at ease with his freedom. With his new family.

Lilith was the one he had the closest connection to. He wasn't sure what is what about her that intruiged him. But she did just that.

Surfacing from the water his hands released their momentary grip on her ankle and calve. "I guess I suck at tag."

"Nah, I just swim more often then you do. So tell me Lilith, How long do you think we'll be safe out here? Someone will find this place eventually, ya think? I mean we did." Michael treaded water slowly, the movements of his arms causing ripples in the water, bringing him closer to Lilith.

Amy snifffed the air and gave a smile as it meant that someone was cooking. and judging by the aroma it was a good eat.

Amy rose to her feet and turned to look back to the window. She moved her hand to her lips as if she was about to eat something hoping to give her intentions. Then she disappeared into the house.

She walked into the kitchen and stared at the cuisine with a smile. She quickly placed two plates near the pan. She quickly got two glasses and filled them with orange juice. Taking one and scooting it close to Gabriel, she smiled hoping that her act of kindness would grant her a share of the eggs that he made.
