In the last few years we've seen the contempt they have for Americans and the American way of life.

They've armed and funded Al Qaeda.

They've betrayed CIA agents.

They've sabotaged the army's supply of body armour.

Their crimes go on, but the question stands.

Why do Republicans hate America ?

They don't hate America, they are just more interested in filling their own pockets and the pockets of their buddies in big business with as much cash as they can wring out of the American people and the rest of the world.

Probably because of all the fags.

We gave them the Log Cabin Republicans. It's hard to know what to give anyone anymore. *shrugs*

What do you give the party that controls all three branches of the government?

I think you nailed it.
I was talking to a conservative born again christain republican before the election. I told him I was not going to vote for bush because I didn't like the war in Iraq killing young americans, was worried about social security for our older americans. Also thought bush was running up a debt our children would be paying for ect.....
He said he was going to vote for bush because he got a tax cut.

You perhaps missed his long term perspective may be different to yours in that the Good Book has destiny predetermined, so, short term robbing and pillaging before Armagheddon will make life somewhat fatter and wealthier
than if worrying about the future.

Yeah could be, tho I'm pretty sure he wasn't capable of forming a thought process like that. Seemed like he just wanted to have more take home pay.

I'm gonna roll my eyes at this thread.

That's right, I did it.

Isn't that cute. :)
Sorry, couldn't resist. I mean, as a Republican I've been called lots of names but an anti-America American is a first for me. I have to laugh.

Thanks for adding some sanity to this thread...

Usually they got this "lights on but no one home" look in their eyes. You look kinda smart.
I won't go as far as to say that I'm "smart", that can mean too many things. But I'm not a complete idiot, and (contrary to popular belief) I've never had any afiliation with the CIA, sabotaged the United States military, OR sponsored a goddamn bake sale for terrorists. Even though I am a stinking neocon. Go figure.

I retract this statement and appologise for stooping to an unfair characterization of the appearance of republicans. I was trying to be funny but after some thought I realise this is not in the spirit of fair and honest discourse,
Again my appologies.

LoL It's okay...I've been arguing with liberals for awhile (I'm a college student, it's an unfair stereotype that we're ALL liberals) so my skin is a little thicker than most.

I have noticed there seems to be a larger number of young peope that are republican than when I was that age. Could just be my perception tho.

Well, you don't care about workers. You only care about how rich corporations get and how much money the rich get to keep for themselves. You care about sending aid to Iraqis, but would tear your pretty little locks out over care to the poor and sick in the US. You'd rather have our manufacturing capacity offshored to despotic nations that use prison labor and harvest political dissidents for organ donations, not to mention who kill baby girls in preference for boys, so you can have cheap DVD players.

What is it about America that you actually like? It sure as fuck ain't the workers who made this country. It sure as fuck ain't your fellow citizens when they're down on their luck.

It sounds more like you only care about the almighty dollar.
