What I want is a profile. Going to User CP, there is an option to edit profile but it doesn’t work. So just where do you create the profile??

Your profile happens after a certain post count , or you could use your signature section to write a short profile so to speak.

I just got a groups function enabled , I'm feeling productive.

Nope, sorry. The profile section has been nonfunctional for about three years now. The forums are the smallest portion of Lit, so we're likely not going to see it fixed. Using your signature section is your best bet. You can, however, still add a profile pic.

Thank you for the profile tools update , so basically if a newbie wants a profile with the basic profile info , use the signature section to make one..

The LGBT and BDSM sections of the threads are very specific as to where U can and Can not start threads .....it lends towards censorship sometimes playing favorites, sometimes just cause they can ......but it is what it is and the mods in those sections of the site have all the power * there * , so , be forwarded.

They will move or delete a thread as they see fit. It’s absolutely a waste of time to discuss or dispute the why they did it. So don’t waste your time.

Move on and ignore the censorship.

How to be selective as to whom you allow to send you PM 's :rose::rose:

Use your buddie list. It's very simple to use. Go to the persona's page. I.E. <Site account holder>

Click on view profile
The buddy list it is the very last box in that cluster.


....click on add them as a buddy. Follow the instructions , click save ...done

Next go to options , find only allow buddies to send U private messages. Click save
Now your done . Your ewwwwwwwww force field is enabled :rose::cool:

If you need help figuring it out , just holla , I'll walk you through it.

It's nice to see a thread devoted to newbies like myself and others. Other than a bumpy first few days, I think I'm starting to get acclimated to the forum. And I'm in no rush to get a profile pic, so I'll stay at my leisurely posting level at least for the time being, but I'm sure that will be subject to change.

We discovered there is a magic tab in our signature panel that allows us to post pictures in that space :D

No gifs or animations , it has to be in the flesh photos

You can NOT put your signature panel in a post .
The other posts you made will still show said signature panel.
