Aww well thank you, I did have to make some phone calls and have some file transfers done for them though I must admit. It was like being on Who Want's to Be a Millionare but I used my phone a friend twice lol.
I guess instead of loving you for your knowledge of music near and dear to me, then, I have to just admire you for your persistence. ;)

I wish I knew the ones you're posting, but I'm clueless. even worse, I don't have the wealth of resources to call on that you did. I just hope you're enjoying playing the game...

one from me... off to work soon. bleah....

what does your upbringing have to do with it?

My step-dad listened to bands like Steely Dan, Blue Oyster Cult, Pink Floyd ect. while I grew up. Some days I have flash backs of it. He took me to my first concert. It was Poision with Firehouse opening. He also had some BOC tickets that he took me to because my mom didnt want to go. Through all our fights we always had music to bounce back on.
*sorry I turned into a sentamental sap right there*
Oh BTW

"You lying so low in the weeds

Is by Heart... Baraccuda...you got it right. I love that band!

no need to apologize.... I'm about as sappy as they get when it comes to my dad. this is always a tough time of year for me, because his birthday is may 31 and the anniversary of his death is may 19.

I think it's cool that you and your dad had something like music that you could share. my dad was into all kinds of music, too.... he loved harmony vocals especially, anything from the beatles to barbershop quartets.

re: heart.... do you have the channel vh1 classic? they aired a concert by heart several times last week. for the most part, ann can still belt 'em like she used to.... they sounded really good. one thing that was weird/cool is one night they were re-running this heart concert on vh1 classic and I turned the channel to cmt..... which happened to be re-running a show called crossroads featuring heart with wynonna judd. freaky.

I'm not allowed to see what channels I have according to my 5 year old only 2 exist...Cartoon Network and Nickalodeon. I'm only allowed access after a certian time. So I probably missed it :(

I'm sorry to hear about your father. They always hold a special place in our lives though even after they are gone. Atleast you will always remember him and the times you had together ((((((MRTNMOON))))))

re: the heart concert.... if I ever see that they're going to show it again, I'll try to remember to let you know. then you can at least check and see whether or not you get that channel. the rest will be up to you. lol.

re: my dad. thanks for the hug... I think one of the things about this time of year that makes me so sad is the fact that I don't remember as much about him as I'd like to.

these are some of my dad's favorite songs... (just a hint, some of them are country songs)

1. in the twilight glow I see her
2. if you had not have fallen, then I would not have found you...
3. mama, I just killed a man...
4. life is much too short and there's no time for fussing and fighting, my friend..
5. comin' to ya, on a dusty road...
6. well, I was movin' down the highway in a new cadillac...
7. city girls just seem to find out early...
8. john lewis, john lewis, won't you tell me your mind....
9. I said not a word tho it meant my life, I'd been in the arms of my best friend's wife...
10. this one was his all-time favorite... kind of obscure country-rock and probably harder to figure out so I'll give more of it....

I guess I knew it all along
I'd have to come back home
'cause this living on the road
only makes me tired and sore
like a bird without a nest
like a stranger in the night
and my soul cries out for rest
and (title of the song)

I know three right off the top of my head...I know the spelling is going to be off though...Boheimian Rapsody QUEEN!

this came about quicker than I expected... the concert is going to be on tonight at 10. I think it's also going to be on friday night at 7:30 and 10. it runs for an hour and a half.

it was part of vh1 classic's "decades rock" series, matching up classic rock performers with more cotemporary artists. it's mainly heart, with appearances by alice in chains, dave navarro, carrie underwood, gretchen wilson and rufus wainwright.

YM, I hope you find that you can get that channel and you get a chance to watch it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

yes. I think that was my dad's favorite beatles song. well, he also liked why don't we do it in the road, but those are pretty much the only words I know from that one. so, it wouldn't work for this game. lol.

I have no idea what you just said.

there's no pressure for you to post at any certain time. I just noticed that it seemed like you hadn't been around and I wanted to be sure you saw my post about the heart concert on vh1 classic. put your kid in the bed before 10 friday night. ;)

still looking for these, too, from YummyMummy26...

I have managed to figure out 4 of them (and am fairly sure I know #6 as well although it won't come to me at the moment). Not bad for an English guy (where Country isn't that popular).

1. Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain - Willie Nelson
2. Angel Flying to Close to the Ground - Willie Nelson
4. Soul Man - Sam and Dave or The Blues Brothers
10. The End is not In Sight (The Cowboy Tune) - The Amazing Rhythm Aces

(just a hint, some of them are country songs)

I did see it :) Thanks for the info, I'm going to do my best to be in front of the TV at that time, with the kids in bed and a bowl of popcorn.
