I'd like to hear more peer reviewed commentary before giving this study a thumbs up or down, but just off the top of my Mensa-sized head -- sounds pretty bullshitty.

Southampton University and British Medical Journal do suggest that the study was peer reviewed. However the C&P source, whatever it may be, is from the media and is not peer reviewed.

I don't think there is a correllation with intelligence and vegetarianism however based on 5 seconds' consideration of the relative intelligence of dogs, cats dolphins and humans when considered against cows, sheep and goats. Goats are pretty smart, but even a cat is smarter.

There was no difference in IQ score between strict vegetarians and those who said they were vegetarian but who reported eating fish or chicken.

Yeah, see this bit I have a problem with. Because to call yourself vegetarian and eat fish or chicken is really fucking unintelligent.

Oh trust me, I would. I've had way too many occasions where the 'vegetarian option' has been fish or chicken.

lol...Oh Boy!!!

But he says I am Beco...I think sean is obsessed with beco
there's always picture proof of who you are.

Well...fish has been touted as a brain food in recent decades!

As for you being Beco, Cade...lol...I think Beco is at the core of so many of my favorite personnas here at Lit...so you'd be in good company as far as I have seen! Even though he/she's made me mad sometimes, too. Of course, this is just a theory...and I am NOT saying I think you ARE an alt of Beco. I don't know who is who's alts and what not...and each day I care less and less about that aspect of things. :D

i haven't met a vegetarian who wasn't self riteous.

and i don't think self riteous people are intelligent.

i think we all need to watch the pro-meat Australian ad with sam neil doing the chicken dance. maybe its on youtube..

So you ask everyone you meet if they are a vegetarian?

Funny, I don't think people who can't spell "righteous" are intelligent.

Vegetarian link to genocide?

We've always known that vegetarianism is an intelligent, compassionate choice benefiting animals, people and the environment

Liz O'Neill, of The Vegetarian Society

Hitler was a strict vegetarian, as were many at the core of the Nazi Party.

Do you want to suggest that being vegetarian (and anti-smoking, and anti-alcohol, as Hitler also was) predisposes one to genocide?
