From an idea inspired-by KRCummings...
If the bird-flu proves incurable, yet YOU survived...
Would you find-a-way to Denver, or Vegas?
I'd choose Denver, then probably drift-toward San Antonio or the hills around Austin, if the 'dreams' stopped...

Gotta go to Denver, then maybe I'd stroll back toward more temperate climes where I could do some good farming. Perhaps Missouri or Iowa.

I'd go to Denver but with my luck I'd be one of the people sent to Vegas and get blown up when the trashcan man brings in the nuke.

I really hope everyone has read it already cuz I just seriously spoiled it.

Denver, and then I'd probably head south. Right after Red returns and gives the all clear.

It was Red right? Its been awhile since I read it.

Yes, it was Red.
I think. He survived but I can't remember how the return from Vegas happened exactly.

Yeah he survived. I think he was the one who had a kid in the end with the girl the book followed from the start.
I also think he was the one who couldnt go to Vegas because he fell down and broke his legs on the way there, and that mentally challenged dude, helped him back to Denver.

Yeppers.
Been a few years since I've read it but that brings it back.
Vegas was much more interesting in the book but I don't know as I'd want to hang out there. Flagg was kind of an asshole.

Flagg...oh you think *Snicker*

You're right though, Vegas was more interesting in the book. Come to think about it.

Wasn't it Boulder, and not Denver?

I hated that Moon retard. The first ten times he did that it was cute than I like shut the fuck up you Moron!

I like that....My life for You dude with the bombs....lol

They ended up in Denver (if memory serves) after they outgrew Boulder.

Why does neither sentence surprise me?

Yeah, it was Boulder. I've wondered why God and the Devil would draw their faithful to places where, without a good bit of technology, the living would be pretty damned difficult. I'd think that each group would have stood better chances of surviving in places without such weather extremes, with ample access to natural resources that would provide the basics of life over the long-term.

Then again, one could argue that all the Devil really wanted was a place of carnal symbolism that was reasonably close to lots of things that went BOOM and God wanted a place where folks would have to come together and get things done quickly or not survive.

I think you're right. But I am far from sure, and I am way too lazy, right now, to go and look it up.

Same here. I just don't need to know bad enough to actually look it up.

Dumb, not mentally challenged.
