Good thoughts, prayers, what have you needed for our Snowy girl.

Laptops rock... It's not wifi though, but it's better than being completely out of touch.

Thanks RJ, it's been a sucky two or so weeks in the not good sort of way.

AA, there's nothing wrong with hand-eye coordination, but me and knitting didn't used to go together. Now if I could just find that one "special" pattern again.

Yes, laptops do!!

I know what you mean about not having wifi, but as you said you can stay in touch. It is amazing how "spoiled" we can become with new technology....

Remembering the last time I was away from home. Checked in to the hotel, fired up my computer and it all worked as soon as I told my system which "connection" to be using...

This is what I get for not keeping up in here. I just read this today :(

Dammit Snowy, you could have called! I would have brought you a cookie.

Dear Daddy B, I wasn't in any condition to call anyone, and mariposa didn't have your number. As soon as I was in a condition to call someone, they went after the knee, and then I wasn't anymore.

Thanks for the patterns Keirae....

The first time I was in the hospital I got this card from my mom - when I turned it over it said 'Sex Clinic, Rm __'. She put it on my door. :p A nurse removed it later that day - but it sure had them laughing in the mean time.

Things to make your stay easier - have mari bring you snack foods. Things that don't have to be heated up or refigerated. Candy, etc. Also, have somoene bring a picture of like you kitty or someone else you're missing. Put it where you can see it. Have them bring you YOUR blanket. You'll feel so much better if you have something around you that's familiar. And get one of those plug in things that makes rooms smell nice - gets rid of that nasty hospital smell. *Yuck*

For fun - have someone bring you a book of dirty jokes. Tell em to the nurses. If you dont' like the nurse, tell her stupid knock knock jokes whenever she comes by. She'll avoid you like the plague. Get some of those things of 'peanuts' where the spring loaded snake jumps out at you? Tell them you can't seem to get the lid off - can they help?

And you can take a few notes from shyslave - next time a nurse is irritating you scream 'SPANK ME, BABY!' or 'HURT ME BETTER!'.

Believe me, you can have tons of fun.

When will you get out of the hospital?

Wow, I've stayed away too long also, B.

Hope this post finds you better, if not fully recovered Snowy.

LOL grace :D Any suggestions for when a Dom is in hospital? ;) Master has to go in for an angioplasty soon, He won't be in very long (a day or two at most) but He really absolutely HATES hospitals!

Snowy, glad to hear you are on the mend :rose: :)

Well, a lot of my suggestions for a sub work for a dom, too. But . . . he could bring in some of his bondage stuff (like handcuffs) and distribute them around the room. When asked he can tell the nurse that's in case they need a spanking. You can go in and he can holler "OK! NOW YOU'RE GONNA GET IT!" then you can scream. Or you can scream "SPANK ME! HARDER!" then sit back and watch the nurses come running in.

You're so lucky - K makes me behave when I'm in the hospital. He didn't even see the humor in the card my mom got me. *pouts* Party Pooper.

thank you, everyone, for cheering me up and being awesome. I'm home now.

They wanted to keep me in til next week sometimes as I can't really get around well yet; healing ribs plus a leg I can't put any weight on yet makes crutches a bit of a joke. As long as I can hobble to the bathroom, though I'm happy! giggling madly Since my mum is still in town and my insurance will send someone to help out twice a day, I got to go home. They're getting a lot flu cases at UMC so if you're not dying, they're trying to get rid of you!

It's a good thing I like to work as far ahead as possible in my classes, cause I'm not quite behind yet. I have one more week at home, and then like one day of classes before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Oh well, at least I have lots of hours to work on my NaNo!

Maybe I should call you and nibble a chocolate chip cookie on the phone! I bet that would cheer you up.

Just dropping by, leaving more positive energy, extra prayers and a couple of cookies. Hope chocolate chip are some of your favorites. :)

Thank you lovely Kayte. I'm keeping on with keeping or however the song goes. Your good thoughts are appreciated.

Hey everybody!

Ciara went back in today to have the pin splint removed. There were some minor complications; mainly that two of the pins were anchored too close together in the bone and she has a stress fracture between them. So they removed the pins, put a plate below her knee and she should should be out of the hospital again by the end of the week.

Oh, poor snowy. Give her a *hug* for me?

Is the plate permanent?

Aww, I am so sorry to hear that. Thank you for letting us know. Keeping Ciara in my prayers. :rose:

and how does a doctor fuck up this, or does the doctor in question have a plate in their head?

Cause doctors are MORONS. It's a prerequisite. You have to have your brain removed before they'll let you practice medicine.

There's a reason they call it "practicing".

Hmph. If they were practicing you'd think they'd get better - but they don't. I call it 'pretending'. I normally know more than the doctors do.

I'm not sure as I've been banned from the floor during rounds because of the manner in which I asked him the same question. Personally, I think a Netz special is too good for him. I was thinking more along the lines of meeting him in the parking lot and doing a Tonya Harding on HIS knee. Her mom gets first crack at him though, and the queue forms to the right.

Grace, I don't know if the plate's permanent or not. I'll ask her mom tonight.
