Now that I think I understand your question, the reason things are classified as fetishes is because most people don't get off to them. I never thought of scat as a "fetish" growing up. I just thought that I'd like to watch women go to the bathroom. As I grew older and found out that some people like feet and some people like fireplay and some people like bloodletting, and we all belong to this club of people with fetishes. I suspect this club includes most people on Earth, but I could be wrong.
