For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

Ukraine assassinates Russian lieutenant colonel far from front lines

A Russian National Guard senior officer and two other service members were killed in a Ukrainian intelligence operation in the North Caucasus on Sept. 27, Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) said. The lieutenant colonel, his aide, and a driver were killed near the village of Tambukan in Russia's Stavropol Krai while traveling to a training ground, the agency revealed on Sept. 30. HUR released footage of the Russian officer being watched from afar, and a subsequent explosion hitting his moving vehicle.

Ukraine's intelligence and security services have been linked to a number of assassinations targeting Russian military officers far from the front lines since the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022.

The assassinated officer was identified as the commander of the Avangard unit of Russia's National Guard, tasked with maintaining public order and combating "terrorism" and "illegal armed groups." The operation was carried out with the support of a group called the "Caucasus Liberation Movement," HUR said, without providing additional details. The Kyiv Independent was unable to verify the claims. Tambukan lies in southwestern Russia, some 80 kilometers (50 miles) north of the Georgian border and about 650 kilometers (400 miles) from the front lines in Ukraine. The North Caucasus is one of Russia's most volatile regions, with a long history of insurgency, radicalism, and ethnic tensions.

Russian oil shortages reach Moscow as Kremlin halts oil exports due to Ukrainian Strikes

Interview with Australian General (Rtd) Mick Ryan

"Ukraine has two strike campaigns going at the moment. One is economic warfare, which is targeting Russian oil infrastructure with an aim of degrading the export revenue and their ability to fund the war. The other campaign is targeting military operational and strategic targets."

The US is considering providing more support for Ukrainian strikes as Russia's oil industry appears to be severely crippled, Maj. Gen. Mick Ryan tells Frontline.

The Pressure Is Dialing Up on Russia’s Oil Network || Peter Zeihan

From Zeijan on Geopolitics. "It's kind of exciting!" Zeihan is a pretty knpwledgable commentator and he gets into impacts on the Russian oil network here
- Russians are at a crisis point
- Russian pipeline exports shut down
- Russian maritime ponts (the only other way of exporting) are being shutdown.
- Russia doesn't have massive tank farms, oil pipeline pressure builds up
- Russians may have to shut down wellhead production - wells will freeze up and may have to be redrilled
- Repairs to refineries take time - a lot f the technologyisimported
- Ship (Tanker) insurance being cancelled

No, all armor is subject to the drone warfare and as far as 101st, over the previous few years the new face of warfare is being studied and soldiers are being trained with that threat in mind, however that being said actual field experience is the best or worst however which way you view it🤷‍♀️
The "possibility" of Zelensky using a dirty bomb? Then what? The retaliation would be decisively ruinous for the ukies Russia possess the largest, fastest and the most nuclear weapons arsenal.....

So, here's a scenario for you......and some facts, all in all China will stand with Russia. They need Russia for oil and Iran for yellow cake....the only way the ukies can fight is because of the United States it's Zelensky's only hope... the EU is helpless, take a hard look at Europe they have bought into their own delusion......they have no military industry to speak of. I could go on but you get the idea.....
Now for the scenario.... Russia is on the ropes, the Chinese know this, a single simple phone call goes out to that fat fuck in North Korea (China's house slave) a single 22 wheeled missile launcher rolls out into firing position and launches an icbm carrying a mrved war head targeting Washington dc...the gears of war spin up to counter the attack. Currently we have just 44 intercept missiles capable of stopping an icbm.....they fail..... 14 minutes later a North Korean submarine launches another icbm 100 miles off the coast of California targeting Diablo nuclear power plant....4 minute flight time...and so it begins..... in 72 minutes the west is plunged into an unrecoverable nightmare...... there's more, but you have the overall view..... oh and the nuke that strikes Diablo poisons the west coast all the way to Colorado for 10 thousand years...... think about this a while.....there more, much more.....

BTW, it was announced about six weeks ago that there is an up coming military exercise in Poland and that's why the 101st is there. This is a NATO exercise.

Yep, and anyone who could be arsed would have found that out on x.

But I s’pose if your FSB handlers tell you to just throw some shit at the wall in the hope that some fools believe you…..well, you just have to post it.

Such is Buffalo’s dilemma.

Russia Launches Massive Strikes On Kyiv As Kupiansk Ready To Fall

Russia unleashed one of the largest missile and drone barrages of the war on September 27-28. The strikes targeted areas across Ukraine but the capital of Kyiv suffered notable damage.

Beyond Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the bombardment targeted the regions of Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, and Odesa. Zelenskyy wrote on X that at least 40 people were wounded across the country. Later, Ukraine’s Interior Ministry stated the number of the wounded rose to 70, with more than 100 civilian objects damaged.

The attack was carried out using nearly 600 drones and 48 missiles. Ukraine continues to make grand claims on interceptions, asserting that air defenses shot down or jammed 566 drones and 45 missiles. Interception estimates rarely match with damage estimates, with Zelensky asking for more Patriot missiles from any country that will sell them.

Ukrainian public broadcaster hromadske, citing Andrii Besedin, Head of Kupiansk City Military Administration, on the national joint 24/7 newscast, stated that:

"The situation is critical. In addition to sabotage and reconnaissance groups that have infiltrated or are infiltrating the city, the enemy carries out extensive attacks on the city and the surrounding territory. The proximity of the front line enables them to strike with everything in their arsenal: tanks, mortars, artillery and multiple-launch rocket systems. Guided aerial bombs are being dropped daily on the territory of the Kupiansk hromada. Fibre-optic FPV drones that cannot be jammed by electronic warfare are effectively hunting civilians and vehicles. Every route into and through the city, all logistical routes are, unfortunately, under the watch of enemy drones."

Ukraine Announces Gripens for Ukraine - Sweden confirms Gripen talks

And there it is, Ukraine will receive JAS-39 Gripen!
🇸🇪⚔️🇺🇦 We are expecting the delivery of Swedish Gripen fighters to #Ukraine, – Deputy Defense Minister Havryliuk
Ukraine will receive Swedish fourth-generation Gripen multi-role fighter jets for the first time, said Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister.
Ukraine will receive Swedish Gripen jets for the first time, along with new F-16s and Mirages, — Ministry of Defense.
Just announced in Swedish press, Sweden to send 16-18 Gripen to Ukraine

Ukraine is expecting additional deliveries of F-16, French Mirage and Swedish Gripen fighters. Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk said this in an interview with the BBC on Monday, September 29. Havryliuk noted that since the summer Ukraine has been receiving military assistance under a new scheme where European allies buy weapons from the United States and transfer them to Ukraine. According to him, this system requires more time for the transfer, but Ukraine should receive additional aircraft. "Additional deliveries of F-16s are expected, as well as French Mirage and Swedish Gripen aircraft," the deputy defense minister said.

Havryliuk emphasized that he would not elaborate on when and how many fighters Ukraine will receive. As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 2, the Netherlands sent Ukraine the last F-16 fighter jets. On July 28, the head of the Air Forces Command's communications department, Yurii Ihnat, said that the pilots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine very quickly learned to fly French Mirage 2000 fighters. In July 2024, Ukraine resumed substantive negotiations on the acquisition of Saab JAS-39 Gripen fighters.

Sweden’s Defense Ministry confirmed talks with Ukraine on a possible transfer of Gripen fighter jets but said no decision has been made, Swedish outlet SVT reported on Sept. 30. Deputy Defense Ministry spokesperson Adam Schelin told reporters negotiations are ongoing but stressed there are no concrete agreements. He declined to provide further details. The statement came after Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Ivan Havryliuk told the BBC that Ukraine “expects” additional F-16s, French Mirage jets, and Swedish Gripens from its partners. He did not specify numbers or timelines.

In March 2024, Jonson again noted Sweden did not rule out the possibility of supplying its fighters. Stockholm previously said it first needed to join NATO before starting discussions on transferring Gripens. On May 28, Jonson announced Sweden had suspended plans to provide Gripens so Ukraine could focus on introducing F-16s into service. On June 9, Air Force aviation commander Serhiy Holubtsov said Ukraine already had the necessary infrastructure to host Gripens. Later, Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billström said Sweden was ready to provide the jets but that Kyiv had declined, concluding that introducing both F-16s and Gripens simultaneously would be too complex. On Sept. 22, 2024, then–Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said Kyiv and Western partners were discussing possible deliveries of Gripen and Eurofighter jets.

It seems thinks have been slowly moving forward...... After two years of debate, the long-anticipated deliveries now appear to be moving forward.

Russia has just started importing fuel

If Russia starts importing fuel, Moscow is going to absolutely hemorrhage cash. Not only will they not have commercial sales and tax revenue, but they will have to pay for the imports.

Unprovoked wars of aggression are always immoral. Unprovoked losing wars of aggression are preposterously foolish. If Russia wins its war in Ukraine, it will be much worse off after winning than before starting the war.

Much more likely at this point that Russia will collapse financially and economically, the Russian military will collapse as the money dries up, military defeat will follow and Russian will then dissolve into internal civil war as regions break away and establish their independance. This is what Bixden and the EU and Trump for that matter have been trying to avoid by persuading Putin to cut his losses and sign a ceasefire. Thing is, given the hits Russia hastaken, anhthing shorof a total victory will result in Putin getting the chop - and he knows it. That, and half a million Russian vets returning home would be a disaster internally. Putin cannot survive witout war, and he cannot survive a losing war either.

Any way you looka t it, it's going to be a mess. The optimal result is Ukraine wins and returns to its 214 borders - or if Russia completely collapses, establishes a Greater Ukraine with the real Ukrainian ethnic borders with Ukrainian regions all inside Ukraine - Bryanks, Kursk, Belgorod, the Kuban....

Before this war began I liked Putin. I knew he was authoritarian, but I thought that was what the Russian people wanted and needed at this point. The problem with authoritarian leaders is that they are prone to make dangerous military mistakes.

I weep for the Russian people. Russians excel in literature and symphonic music, but they are not good at government. They lurch from one tyranny to another.

The Russian-appointed former head of the Nova Kakhovka administration, Vladimir Leontiev, Kherson region, was killed in a drone attack.

Leontiev was a war criminal. He was sentenced by the Ukrainian court in absentia to 15 years in prison on charges for kidnapping and torturing of the Ukrainian Mayor of Berislav, Kherson region, Alexander Shapovalov. He was wounded and died soon after in the hospital. The Russian-appointed head of the Kherson region has already confirmed his death. Another successful step in denazification taken.

Russia is flirting with a Nuclear Disaster

In May, Rosatom chief Alexey Likhachev announced plans to restart the Zaporizhzhia Nucear Power plant for Russia’s power grid. Satellites show new pylons built nearby. Cutting the pant off from Ukraine’s electical netork supply is step one in connecting Europe’s largest nuclear plant to the Russia grid. Out of 10 original power lines, 8 were destroyed in fighting. One was cut in May. The last line was cut by Russia on Wednesday as a prepatory step tp connectig to the Russian grid. Ukraine says Russia staged the crisis to justify switching Zaporizhzhia to Russia’s grid. All 6 reactors have been shut since Sept 2022, so heat is lower, but without cooling a meltdown could still occur in weeks.

A forced restart for Russia’s grid would cement occupation and complicate peace talks. Moscow is weaponizing nuclear risk.
