What was your title and short description that lead to the most views?

Note to self; Funny titles bring in views.

To give some more data points though:

The Parasite - The tentacle monster found its opportunity in a cave. 12.2k views, posted oct 2024, rating of 4.34.

My Cat Felix - A rough day leads to purrfect dreams. 3.5k views, posted may 2025, rating of 4.69.

Both were posted in nonhuman.

It’s not title and short description. Those have an impact as @SimonDoom and others often point out. But chosen category dwarfs any factor to do with minutiae like title.

Of my top five most viewed stories, #1 and #3 are in Loving Wives, #2 (which is my first story published under this account and has had longest to accumulate views) and #5 are in Anal, and #4 is a Taboo (not incest) story.

None of the above are in these positions due to their titles.
Fun fact: my most viewed story is also comfortably my worst rated story, and it’s not even close (only some 750 worders have proximate ratings and we all know the issues with them). This is what happens when you write a LW story about cheating in a lesbian marriage 😊.

My top three for views, comments, and votes this time around:

(Edited because I realized I put the last two out of order and to add "comments".)

Mine flipped recently. Rim Fire overtook Holly Jolley Christmas in views.

And to get technical, it's only the most views in this pen name. Overall, it's M/S as Les with 100k more and several years lead.

Interesting question, I had not thought to look at ratings that way.

My most viewed story with 12.1 k views is:
Summer by the Sea Pt. 01
Adam is reluctant to spend summer at the seaside.

Second, with 9.7k, is
The Fall of Laura Pt. 01
In which Laura's plans go awry.

The follow-ups to both do quite well.

In the last 10 months, Summer by the Sea has almost doubled the number of views, and there's a new entry at #2. It has done very well in two months.

Of course nobody knows where all the views are truly coming from*. Could be that your most viewed story just got infected with bots.

But still, we can all tell that some stories genuinely seem to invite more readers the instant you post them. And the "view" is, at least theoretically, the metric of how many people were lured in by your title, tags and short description (the only things they can go by). We also all observed that view count and rating don't match up - your most viewed story may very well be your lowest rated one.

So with that said - which of your short descriptions (plus title) seems to have drawn in the most viewers?
Especially useful if you can compare that to your least clicked story.

*bonus assignment: picture in your mind's eye the magical land of eyeballs, where all the little viewlings are hatched and spread out to bring delight and voyeurism to the world of humans.
This is certainly click-bait for self-promotion, but we must have some ego if we write on here. Not surprisingly, the top number of views is in Loving Wives. The title is Wayward Ellen and the description is "A straying wife is put back into line." I'd say it's a funny little RAAC tale. The narrator catches his wife cheating, and tells her she will be forgiven if she submits to a spanking from him. It turns out that she enjoys it, and they wind up having sex right there on the couch.

The score was a passable 3.47, but some of the comments were livid. Well there's a sample. "First off - put this garbage in BDSM. . . Pretty ugly idea and it made for a really bad story." I guess this person doesn't know much about BDSM. It was pretty mild; he didn't even restrain her. Basically, the LW people couldn't agree if he was an evil husband for doing it or if she was a perverted wife for liking it (or maybe both). There were two sequels, but now I have a idea for a fourth. Thank you OP!

Written under the pseudonym Todd Everman:

Story title: Mom's Backseat Boy
Short description: A bumpy ride leads to some bump and grind for mother & son.

originally published: 11/18/23

Total views to date: 341.5K

My most viewed is My Week With Kelly (A week alone with his step-daughter and lots of memories) at a little over 38k.

My least viewed is Hot Tub Hookup (One man's dream comes true with a co-worker) at 13.6k.

Interestingly, those are my most recent and oldest stories, respectively. But I also suspect that stuff in Erotic Couplings probably just gets lower view counts than Taboo/Incest in general.

Will be interested to see how my next piece fares.

I chose to read My Cat Felix though. Definitely more appealing description.

This was true for me as well until this week, when my Nude Day blue W story finally passed my LW story.

Most: Flood Of Pleasure with 16.6k views. A recent masturbation session of mine. Warning, piss ahead!

Least: Sucking You Off In A Cafe Bathroom with 5.8k views. Fantasizing about my crush often lately. Here's one fantasy.

The latter was my very first story posted to lit, so without any followers when published it makes sense that it's got a low view count.

On a per-day basis, my most successful story by far in terms of views and favorites is my latest venture into Loving Wives: "John's Wife Needed Money: So she had my baby."

I think that title managed to hook the people who hate that category and also the people who love it. Got the impregnation and cuckoldry stuff going on for the people who like or hate that. It's been up a week and already my third most-viewed, second most-favorited, and absolute lowest rated story!

Which is saying something because I've written some absolute shite here....

Sounds like you found a formula for almost perfect polarization, nice

I don't remember who it was but recently we were discussing stories like this and someone added a racial angle, which I regret forgetting. If only Chad had been black....

By far the fastest upsurge in views was for Ashley’s Sister with the teaser line “You want to fuck my sister, don’t you?” which was also the first line of the story. Not bad for an EC story. (There is a whiff of romance and light kink but those become apparent only after reading it.)
