Finally finished the last steps in a project that's been planned for nearly 15 years. Gotta start cleaning the shop now. I hate shop cleanup. Critical, but not-fun part of any project...

Like 20 of them.... I was thinking about what I could make with the........ grapefruit curd for angel food cake or?

Juice and zest can always be frozen for later - juice fares better.

One of the most memorable desserts I ever had was 30+ years ago at a restaurant. Was a Grapefruit Tequila Sorbet with Cracked Black Pepper on top. Like a frozen grapefruit margarita.

This recipe works well for every type of citrus I've tried so far: Lemon, Lime, Clementine... think it would work for Grapefruit, too.

Found a recipe for Lemon Brownies a few years ago. Raves every time - and works for any flavor of citrus I've tried so far!!

Acorn and butternut squash in the oven. Shallots cut and in the freezer for later use... I have to run to the store for oranges and strawberries...gonna make fruit dip for it later.... thinking pork chops and a baked potato for dinner

Nice day.

Got a fair amount done. My sister came over for breakfast and then we ran a bunch of errands. Was in an around my hometown where I grew up.

Got some good apple cider donuts.

Brought in the pumpkins we didn’t sell. We’ll use them for deer bait, for smooshing and shooting up. I tried a few for archery practice.

Also, I'm one of those rare people who didn't mind turkey bacon. I accepted it for what it was and didn't try to make it be bacon, bacon.

Good evening. I had a wonderful time and dinner with friends. I had bacon Brussels sprouts with balsamic on top, pistachio crusted chicken breast, over butter nut squash gratin. I am stuffed!

We just brought our first batch of pumpkins up to our range. May still be too dry to shoot tho….

I need to take my pumpkins to a local farm. Cows and pigs love them
