I still don't understand why Literotica has a "non-erotic" submission category. That's like Pornhub having a "fully clothed mystery book club" category.

I still don't understand why Literotica has a "non-erotic" submission category. That's like Pornhub having a "fully clothed mystery book club" category.

Probably because all the stories are submitted here for free by writers, and sometimes those writers like write other types of stories. And plenty of readers enjoy them. By all accounts, some of the most popular stories on the site feature little to no sex.

Lit has grown beyond the confines of its initial stated purpose. It happens. Look at MTV, for example.
