To support my premise I give you the following essay titled:
“My Husband And His Family Voted For Trump — So I'm Canceling Thanksgiving And Christmas”
penned by Andrea Tate and found in that esteemed publication, ‘Huffington Post’.

Now by orthodox standards Ms Tate would not be considered a bimbo or an airhead. She has an MA and an MFA degrees and is currently working on her PHD while teaching at an undistinguished college in California. However, despite such academic achievements, one can’t help but be reminded of that sage advice offered by Pres Lincoln: "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."
Now in my personal case I do have three adult children and they each hate Trump with a passion replicated by you Trump haters opining on this forum. However, such disparity of political opinion will not ruin our family celebrations during the upcoming holidays. Naturally politics will not be discussed at the dinner table. Instead, we’ll bemoan the lack of success by the Michigan State Spartans but rejoice in the winning ways of the current professional Detroit Lions. Speculation will be rife about whether the Bobby Layne curse will be finally lifted. For those unaware of this curse, the Lions won the NFL championship way back in 1957. The following year, the Lions traded their star quarterback, Bobby Layne, who was thoroughly peeved by the trade. In reaction Layne put a hex on the Lions by by predicting that the Lions will not win another championship in the next 50 years. My eldest daughter scoffed at the curse suggesting that the Lions have demonstrated the inadequacy of Layne’s spell as now 68 years have transpired, and they have yet to appear in the Super Bowl never mind winning one. However this year at the time of this posting, they are tied with last year’s Super Bowl champs for the best record in the league, so maybe...
