Outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden has reportedly approved the use of long-range American missiles by Ukraine to strike within the Russian mainland, in a move which may escalate the conflict two months before President-Elect Donald Trump comes into office with a mandate to seek a peace settlement.

According to reports from the Democrat-aligned Washington Post and New York Times newspapers, both citing unnamed U.S. officials, lame-duck President Joe Biden has lifted restrictions barring Ukraine from using American Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles to strike targets within Russia.

The Biden White House previously approved the use of ATACMS by Kyiv to strike Russian targets within Ukrainian territory, including Russian-occupied lands such as Crimea, which was illegally annexed by Moscow under the Obama administration in 2014. The Biden administration had also approved the use of shorter-range American missiles for limited cross-border strikes within Russia.

However, President Biden had been hesitant to permit the Ukrainians to use ATACMS within Russia for fear of escalating the conflict, with reported concerns over the world’s largest nuclear power potentially using more powerful weapons within Ukraine, Moscow increasing assistance to American adversaries such as the Islamist regime in Iran or to the Houthi terrorists in Yemen in their quest to disrupt global shipping.

After that, it gets interesting, but the obvious answer is one of the Baltic states starting with either Lithuania (for better access to occupied Königsberg), or Estonia (for greater control over the Gulf of Finland and maritime access to St. Petersburg).
I am not sure about Moldova or Lithuania, but reliable sources indicate that Estonia is having none of it. They will enthusiastically stack bodies in defence of their nation.

If US missiles are allowed to hit Moscow I wouldn't be surprised if the Russians went after NATO supply bases in Germany or Poland, or even US military targets in Europe or here at home. They have the largest nuclear weapons inventory in the World. Do we really want to go there?

Newaflash:

Russia has been a nuclear power throughout this conflict, and escalation has to be predicated on something.

The U.S.,and our allies have matched the Russians’ escalation with a proportional escalation of military aid and capabilities for the Ukrainians to utilize in their defense.

The RWCJ fuckwits seem to forget that the only way to win this war is to defend Ukraine- not to attack Russia in a significantly destabilizing way that could (would?) result in a nuclear escalation. (I guarantee that the U.S. has placed limits on what the Ukrainians can target inside of Russia with their newly approved long range missile capability.

I agree they are desperate and the powers behind Biden want Trump to take the fall for an escalation of the war as well as a possible start to WWIII. Trump isn’t easily manipulated and if they escalate, we can cut off Ukraine’s funding, leaving Putin to take their whole country instead of part of it. War is very calculated and Putin isn’t going to start nuclear war knowing Trump is coming in and will likely give him the part of Ukraine he already has.

No one in Biden’s admin cares about Ukraine. They are another pawn being used so we hopefully forget about the “small incursion” that started it all. The Biden failures are so numerous, we might have forgotten this.
