I’m currently embroiled in a severe bout of sock failure.

How is it possible that all of my socks develop holes within the same week?
Isn’t it a statistical improbability that they could all fail at the same exact time?

We need to deploy all available scientists on this issue immediately.

I buy new socks every six months or so and rotate them in when the ones I have show early signs of failure. One can never go wrong that way.
