I did a quick google look and there are private abortion clinics in toronto and montreal in the upscale parts of town, so people with money could make a nice shopping trip out of it.

But that doesnt come anywhere near to meeting the serious health needs of over a Million American women per year and growing who aren’t of upper class means.

I thought this was a Very Important Issue to American Women these past 2.5 years.

Guess not! They voted for Trump.

I agree, prohibition doesn't work. But I don't think many are aiming for total prohibition. That's a rather small minority.

Most just want to have some moderate limitations against late term/post birth "abortion" and they don't want to have to pay for it. Fairly reasonable to anyone not a zealous abortion activist that literally gets off on the idea of vac'ing their kids brains out.
