Even in Jersey we’re getting a metric fuck ton of political commercials. My wife and I have been recording stuff we want to watch since Friday. (I am watching the giants game now - no spoilers! )

In Europe, news channels are laden with non-stories of the US election campaign. I'm already bored of UK and French politicians, let alone having American ones foisted upon us!

This is ridiculous. I’ve been awake for an hour after a few hours of sleep. We are having weird weather, 80 two days ago and now a winter advisory. It’s was raining, sleeting and whatevering outside. I still have my bedroom air in. I woke up to a sound like an animal was trying to get in through the ac. So I turned on the ac fan, annd put in earplugs, but every time I go back to sleep I wake up sure an animal is getting in. SMH!

Update!
Today a friend and I removed the air conditioner and discovered signs that there WAS an animal trying to get in. I’m going to have to bleach everything in site. The air conditioner is being replaced for next year! Scary and gross. It was bigger than a mouse, maybe a rat or squirrel!

For me, this is the biggest divide for rural living. On one hand, I open the shutters on a morning and hear nothing but birds singing. On the other hand, snakes, moles, rats, wild boar, asian hornets!
