Have you guys ever tried boysenberry jam though? The flavor is like a cross between raspberries and blackberries, but somehow so much better! Knott’s Berry Farm (So Cal theme park that started out as an actual functioning berry farm) used to sell a variety of preserves and marmalades and jams, including boysenberry (with or without seeds), but Smuckers bought them out and killed the entire product line a few years ago. Other brands of boysenberry jam can still be found online though. Strawberry preserves are my second choice.
Did you ever try Elbows that used to be in the same shopping center as Target near LCC? They had sooo many great variations on mac n cheese and grilled cheese / paninis. I think I had one with bacon, caramelized onion jam and…I want to say possibly a mix of havarti and either white cheddar or smoked Gouda? Pretty much everything I tried there was drool-worthy though! I didn’t live in the area when they were here and am sad they’re gone now
