Sex & Shenanigans

but couldn’t they just get AI to write it and then hand-write copy it??
Yes. I have no way of knowing if these were written in class, where the teacher would be able to see if students were on their phones or chromebooks, or if these were written out of class where the kids could get away with anything. All I know is that some of the paragraphs I read were way too well-written to plausibly have come from some of these students.

Saw that as a grader in grad school. (Pre-AI)

I could always tell when someone was plagiarizing, the grammar, syntax, and ability to make an argument would skyrocket for a paragraph or two, then go back to “normal”

Or they’d just be too lazy to ensure the font of of the copy/pasted text was the same font, size, color of the rest of the document… 🙄

I can’t find the clip, but on Seth Green’s Titan Maximum show there was a scene where the bad girl remembers almost getting a “b” in school, and it cuts to a teacher at his desk, she’s clearly under it, and he says something to the effect of “this is worth a solid B-!” You hear a muffled scream “well, this blowjob is 3 days late…”

It’s so bizarre to me to cheat in school … does it ever work out?
It does.

A lot, apparently, it just teaches the wrong lessons
I had a great gig going one year. A kid I went to school with was about average academically, but wanted to get better grades, so during Biology, the day before a test he would ask me what I wasn't sure I knew so he could study those topics. Then he paid me $20 per test to copy. He usually got one or two answers correct that I would miss, so we were never suspected.

I think if the kids use AL and have to hand write the answer, at least they will learned something as they do it .
