Today, however, was what I call a slug day. My girl and I slept on the couch most of the day. I did need the sleep. Since the rainy season has started, I didn't feel the watering system was a high priority. I canceled the 0900 appointment for today then went back to sleep. I'll reschedule with him later. I figured he probably wouldn't want to be out in the torrential rain today, either.

Don’t beat yourself up about the odd slug day. Look what you achieved on the previous days! Only Wat, Wonderer and me aren’t allowed slug days!

We only have 1/3 acre; some of that is gardens and greenbelt. I know I can mow. The lawnmower is the ripcord pull type. My friend who lives two houses from me (also a widow) does her own mowing. She has an electric mower. That might make better sense for me. Then I wouldn't have to deal with gas or oil for the mower. I'd just have to make sure not to run over the cord.

It's so annoying to have to change computers! I just want everything to work as it did on the old one, only better!

We just finished up yardwork and clearing about an eighth of an acre of sticker, bushes, invasive olive trees, and other shit.

It’s very gratifying to pull these fucking russian olive trees out by the roots!! (They’re interfering on our farmland!)
