If President Biden would sadly pass away today, America has a capable VP in place to lead the remainder of his term. The VP is also the only viable candidate running now to take over for the next 4 years. The GOP has a person, putting aside his legal and moral failings, who's now unfit physically to be president and worse - he has a person whose best argument to succeed the nominee if he should succumb to cardiovascular disease is that he is able to lie, breathe, and then lie some more. i'd say there might be a marked lack of turnout to see him but (as with thatcher's death) i'm pretty sure a load will be going to check he really is dead just to be sure, and then celebrate.
