One year I handed out the little airplane bottles of booze to parents who brought their kids up and looked like they needed it. Fuck you, Jerry, and your full-size candy bars....
My favorite houses were always the ones with cans of beer! Now that mine are older, I hand out mini bottles of fireball to the parents - and dog treats to the 4 legged ones! One year I handed out the little airplane bottles of booze to parents who brought their kids up and looked like they needed it. I remember going around and found a cul-de-sac that had a gator (think golf cart with a truck bed) filled with candy, and they were grilling burgers and hot dogs and had ice chests of beer and hard cider, just free for people to enjoy. Kids got their fill of candy and parents got a drink and food. Best freaking trick or treat everMy favorite houses were always the ones with cans of beer! I love folding. Yes I know it sounds strange even to me. still....fine workAt it again... Welcome to the monotony of my life. I hate that I have packing for a week down to this level of efficiency. And also feel like that in itself is kind of an accomplishment

me too! also I appreciate the lack of chaos in my closet afterwardI love it too.
It's meditative for me. I really lean in to the monotony of it and use it as a way to practice mindfulness.

I wear my sneakers on the plane. I need those to work out. The shoes build the rest of my wardrobe. Navy trousers and a maroon corduroy skirt/tights. All shirts and cardigans go with everything. I'll take outfit pics for you if I remember and show you.I'm in awe of you. Teach me your ways!
I have no concept as to how to pack light. Seeing onky one pair of shoes there gives me a slight panic attack
Saaame! I “but what if I need this?” evvverything! And I need clothing options for different scenarios, weather, in case of spills…spontaneous formal eventsI'm in awe of you. Teach me your ways!

Fun fact most people don’t realize: outerwear doesn’t count as a carry-on or personal item on a plane. You can wear it or carry it, and load those pockets!I wear my sneakers on the plane. This season is pretty easy. Once it starts getting cold out and I need coats and boots it gets a little difficult.
I had a trip to DC last year that necessitated a full luggage set. I had to pack for different scenarios like that and even smuggled a ball gown across country. I ended up buying myself a weekender bag there because I couldn't figure out how to get it all to fit back in to my original luggage. I think I took five pairs of shoes on that trip #ridiculousSaaame! I “but what if I need this?” evvverything! I make a habit of including a bag that folds small, just in case!I had a trip to DC last year that necessitated a full luggage set. I save pics of my clothes and use them to put outfits together, either when I’m not in my room or don’t want to unfold everything and make a mess.I often go up to Berlin for different "parties" which usually call for different styles of outfits. I now have a bag that I leave with the hotel I use and take a picture of the 'inventory' so I can work out what bits can be used in a fresh outfit.
Needless to say lots of Black and Kilty type pieces![]()
