It's not really the worst at all. It's just pointless and unnecessary.

I'm not about to do anything about the irrational fascination my brain has chosen to develop. And it knows that, but insists on wasting time pretending that a) I know anything at all about this person and b) that I would care to change that if I could.

Understandable. I don't tend to have colorful convos, so not something I worry about. My mental health improves tremendously when I only have to deal with what people say in threads and not leave them an open door to harass, threaten, etc.

This place frequently reminds me of Dark Helmet in SpaceBalls. We truly are surrounded by assholes. But I suspect I'm not the only one who would dare give them the raspberry.

It's a longer story than it needs to be, and I'm not dwelling if I don't have to. But waking up to no fewer than three death threats in my PM box pretty much turned me off to several aspects of Lit that I no longer engage with.
