Great, now I need to make myself an early breakfast. You temptress..There was a restaurant in upstate NY … (like way the fuck upstate… Watertown area) that did stuffed French toast and all it was was giant brioche bread French toast with a ricotta cream cheese stuffing and a fuckton of strawberries…
Better than all the 4 years of sex I had with the partner I was with when I had it.

I was in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan during blueberry season. They’re better flavor than any in the world. If anyone has ever had Michigan blueberries, you know what I’m talking about. There was a restaurant in upstate NY … (like way the fuck upstate… Watertown area) that did stuffed French toast and all it was was giant brioche bread French toast with a ricotta cream cheese stuffing and a fuckton of strawberries…

There's been some psychological research that showed the more symmetrical a person's face was, the more attractive people considered them. Just a little useless trivia that's been bouncing around in my head for the last 25 years.Doubtful. Humans are usually not perfectly bilaterally symmetrical. Someone who was would actually look odd to the observer without the observer knowing why they looked odd.
All of this.It was sciencey fun and weird aliens and singing and interesting endings.

Not gonna lie. Definitely a yum.Not a fan of ricotta except in lasagna, but the best French toast I’ve ever had in my life was at the Starling Diner in Long Beach, CA. Theirs is also brioche, but stuffed with a creamy mascarpone cheese, topped with fresh seasonal berries, drizzled with crème fraiche, further topped with a dollop of whipped cream and dusted with powdered (or confectioners?) sugar.

The same place also does a breakfast bruschetta with similar ingredients, breakfast polenta, fresh scones with lemon curd that is sooo good, and was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives for their pot roast.
I enjoy both sweet and savory breakfast foods, but kinda wish I didn’t just look up “scrapple.”Not gonna lie. Definitely a yum.
I've only had it at Denny's and what used to be a chain up here called Sherri's before they closed down.
I am definitely more of a savory breakfast person.
Plus I get ostracized because I enjoy grits and scrapple.
I'm sorry. I would have explained it.I enjoy both sweet and savory breakfast foods, but kinda wish I didn’t just look up “scrapple.”
LOL it wasn’t having to look it up that I didn’t like, it was finding out what’s in it! But if you like grits, you might like polenta too! Similar, but made with yellow corn and a different grinding process.I'm sorry. I would have explained it.
Going back to my hometown a couple years ago to celebrate my XX high school reunion, I only had it once in the two weeks I was there.
I had grits three times.
I do love polenta actually. I just don't get to eat it as often.LOL it wasn’t having to look it up that I didn’t like, it was finding out what’s in it! But if you like grits, you might like polenta too! Similar, but made with yellow corn and a different grinding process.
It may have been mascarpone …. This was 20 years ago.Not a fan of ricotta except in lasagna and cannoli, but the best French toast I’ve ever had in my life was at the Starling Diner in Long Beach, CA. Theirs is also brioche, but stuffed with a creamy mascarpone cheese, topped with fresh seasonal berries, drizzled with crème fraiche, further topped with a dollop of whipped cream and dusted with powdered (or confectioners?) sugar.
