The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Update on The Hand.
Short story. No surgery at this time. 6 weeks in a brace, splint, cast. then follow-up with the doctor again for next steps.

Have to say I am not impressed with my HMO's expanded One Stop Shop program for orthopedics so far. They really need to get their :poop: together in my opinion.

Meantime, I need to shop for a couple assistive devices... those cans and jars don't open themselves. :ROFLMAO:

You stop her.

She was going to have Flaky the Cousin drive her home if she felt bad, but she was kinda excited that she could see better. Like when she started driving at night again after she had her cataracts done. My brother put a stop to that with Ein Diktat. I was working at it more subtly. It got done regardless.
Moms are wild like feral barn cats.... and their idgaf gene turns on at 80......

Sorry to hear about the hand. I think all med services, in particular Ortho sucks. To many patients and not enough providers.

Wat has two fridges. One is an old cheapie 18 footer that just keeps going. The other is a new-but-damaged unit salvaged from the job from 2022. The old one has an icemaker that I have never used - no connection, and I ain't puttin' it in. Wat keeps a large rectangular container with water for drinking, and it stores nicely and works like a charm. If one goes out, it'll probably be the older one, and it'll probably be the gaskets. Bad door gaskets can cause some of the fridge/freezer symptoms mentioned here.

Also, don't set the damned things too cold. There is usually a "suggested" setting, and the machines seem to work best at that setting. If you want it a tad cooler, okay, but just a tad. Also, beware overfilling the freezer compartment on top freezer units. The cold air from the freezer is whta chills the fridge, and if it can't circulate, then guess what happens?

Oh, and Happy Tuesday. Welding class tonight.
My moms harvest gold fridge is still.chugging along and their stand up freezer that is 50 years old still works. The gaskets are touchy but my dad put a roll of duct tape out there. We tear off 2 pieces shut the door and secure with tape. So far so good. It is such a nice freezer

Finished early-ish again tonight! Seems B2 is still in dreamland and will miss catching me.

I had a stressful day. First, I woke in a panic after just 3 hours thinking I had overslept my alarm. I actually still had about 4 more hours I could have slept. However, my first official act of the day was to drop my phone. It fell just perfectly to black out the bottom third of the screen. Right now, I'm using an older phone. I spent the hours I could have been sleeping trying to back up my phone. 🙄😤

I ended up buying a new phone at Costco but neglected to read/understand what I bought and I didn't get the memory size I have now. IDK if I really need that much, so it may be a moot point.

I had also made an appointment to see my husband's audiologist today. I brought his hearing aids and some other equipment so she could donate it. We both cried and held each other.

The good thing was that it rained again today. It was nice and sunny for our walkie then rained later. It's a good thing.

I'm headed to bed. It's been a
Hugs and more hugs..... and an extra hug to you

Gatorade (suger free) for me. Doesn't taste great, but I has the electrolytes in it that need. Weather I go out or not, but I will have to walk to my mailbox to get my mail. It's not delivered to my door. After the sun leaves the sky...
