I thought it was even worse (how is that even possible) on the defensive end, with little boxing out and minimal effort to really go after and secure rebounds. Embid was glaringly bad at times. Even Charles Barkley rightly singled him out for his performance during these Olympics. (Barkley said Embid looked out of shape.) If Embid hadn’t come through with some offense at the end of that last game, he would have been the pejorative “goat” of these Olympics.



Let’s hope Embid has worked himself back into some kind of shape during the prelims and the knockouts, and is "peaking" for the gold medal game. Embed at 90-95 percent should be enough.
