My nephew just passed his cpa exam---well all the parts.....first time...it is a HARD exam

I don't mind the age range. It's the prep for each of them that gets difficult to keep up with

I'm sure! I taught one year of high school. It was an experiment for two high schools with my salary funded by the hospital for which I worked.

I was asked to teach a Nursing Assistant program through the Vocational Department. I wasn't interested in doing that and, instead, proposed blowing out the program's component parts and offering all as electives.

It was hard work! I decided to go back to university teaching after that year.

My family started their tomatoes back in March or April I think. Summer heat is hard on them here

I have always started my tomatoes in February or March, for us it isn't the summer heat. It is more common that in August the rain returns with avenge and they turn into sickly little things.
My cucumbers are doing great, although a bit oddly shaped.

Happy Wednesday. Last week of goofing off, such as it is. The half-n-half went bad while I was out. Expie date of 9/3 - I reckon not. Looks like we have Debby on her wanton way. Not like it hasn't rained this summer, so now we'll have two straight days of it. Since I have the old truck without a/c, the cooler days will be a plus since Morticia will be idly resting while Hurricane bits swirl about. We still have some stuff in the tool box to unload, so it'll be this morning or Friday afternoon.


For the record, TDK is a girlie-cat. One of those three-colored ones. A rare one is a boy, the rest are girls. We have two girls in this clowder and they are both tri-colors - orange, black and white.


The milk is still good but on the cusp.


Oh, and I actually managed to lose a bit of weight while traveling, which is somewhat unusual.

My son passed his CPA exams first time out. Has a masters in accountancy. Made partner in '21 or '22 - youngest in corporate history. He made every promotion the first year he was eligible. They are fast-traking him to Full Equity Partner.


Yeah . . . .


I hope to be like him when I grow up . . . .

So my job is getting rid of Google Chrome so I have to make sure all my stuff migrates over to Microsoft edge.... since when did I become an IT person. They gave us an information sheet to manually complete data migration....

This doesn't seem like a bad idea at all

You don’t make as much money being a science guy. So, you have to love the profession. And I did and still do.

Same with Nursing. And don't even get me started on teaching! Football coaches make millions while Nursing profs make subsistence-level wages.

Waiting on Miss Debby…. They did release me from work so it’s like back in my school days…hurricane party! . So far the rain has been sporadic in intensity but they’re expecting 8-12” overall. Winds have been low, even though the official is getting close to 20 kts. Looks like a big rain event. For our Jersey and PA members. If you’ve wanted water…you’re getting your wish!

With all the clouds, it’s time for some sunny Morning Z…

Those reflective bits get the job done - often the only way I see someone walking/running on the side of the road when it's dark.
(Lots of our neighborhoods don't have sidewalks - including mine)

Our neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks. If I'm out after dark, I wear a reflective vest, carry a big-azz flashlight, and put a pink light flashing collar on my girl.

Man, I have a hard time sitting still, but I was in meetings straight from 830 - 1230 today. I dunno how people do it.

A line of showers parked itself over our area for about 2hrs tonite. No flooding, but pretty good rain.

Dinner, a brownie, and I think I’m gonna read and watch the Olympics (simultaneously of course).
