Evening all... long day at work then a hand therapy appointment and some errands. Foraged for dinner and now a short window before it's time to wrap it up for the night.

Hand is doing well. Got new exercises and massages to start. Should heal up with just the PT and massages. No more clinic visits unless things regress. All forward progress so far. :nana: Love getting a good report card.

Busy afternoon today...

On the one hand - I miss them.

Insurance is up over here too, especially car insurance. It's to pay for all of the accidents caused by uninsured drivers, and the key fob locks that can be hacked by thieves.

I know I’m among friends so I can share my dumb move. After work and dinner, I decided to mow the lawn. Filled up the lawn mower with gas but forgot and had the cap on the nozzle….

So gas started leaking and pouring out and a bunch got on my pants just below my waistline. I’m annoyed. Fill the fuckin tank and decided “I’ll just mow the lawn, anyway.”

About two circuits in I’m feeling a burning where the gas spilled. Getting worse and hurting more…. Knocked out the circuit and went into the garage and stripped. Jumped in the pool and then washed it w soapy water.

I forgot how caustic gas can be. I got covered in hydraulic fluid once when I was in the army and I had to immediately wash down.

So I have a nice red welt right near my private area. It’s fine tho.

Fuels are no joke.

So is chlorine... and sometimes it takes a few hours for the full extent of the burn to show itself. 🫂 Take care!!

When I turned 50 my present to myself was to jettison any and all toxic people out of my life. In one fell swoop, i got rid of the PITA’s. It’s been almost seven years and I only have one left, but he’s not really toxic, just clueless. He’s also a childhood friend and I’m loyal if anything. So he will get a pass. As others have said, enjoy this time. It really can be special, just YOU make it so. For me it was unloading a couple or three burrs under the saddle.

BTW…Happy Birthday! Welcome to the room, it’s a great place with great people. Here’s a pro-tip…don’t say anything bad about baking, cakes, coffee, pissy tea, motor bikes, pumpkins, gun dogs, taxi’s, and plants….You’ll do fine!

Oh almost forgot…Pasture Poodles and kittys…how could I forget?
