The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Caffeine withdrawal is no joke. If it gets bad consider tapering off instead of cold turkey. I had to do that when I kicked caffeine.
Sugar is insidious. It's snuck into so many foods under a myriad of names. 😠
Good for you deciding what you need and making healthier choices to get you there.
Agree as I accidentally went cold Turkey on coffee when camping when the kids were young. Oh it was bad.

You could eat more carbohydrates. By that, I mean unprocessed vegetables/potatoes and fruits. That way you are taking in natural sugars, Fibre, vitamins and minerals whilst withdrawing from processed sugars. It's also food for the brain as the brain needs carbohydrates to work. 😘
As a type 2 diabetic I found that eating fruits and vegetables helped with controlling my blood sugars. I also found processed too sweet after my body adjusted to the new diet. I only eat complex carbs now like ancient grain bread.

Do what works for you MissK and give yourself grace and some space.

Good morning all and afternoon to those in Europe. I had some insomnia at 3 but found a way to get back to sleep.

A hot day in the Great Lakes State today with increased humidity 😒.

On cup 2 of coffee and plan to walk the dog. Then I will meet folks for brunch and hopefully my sun for dinner.

Good friends here too. Hugs to whoever wants or needs then 🫂

Loved you all trying to work out the rules of rugby. But there are two types as alluded…Union or League with different rules.

Union
Only pass back not side or forwards.
When tackled you must release the ball (and hope your pals are there to pick it up)
You keep it until it is taken off you
Kick it away in field to put pressure on the other side when you try to win it back, or out to win it back when it is thrown in again
Score by putting it down in the other End Zone or kicking it into the top part of the H

League
All as above largely except you don’t release on the tackle.
You can be tackled five times then the other side get it back so after the fourth tackle you kick it away
No kicking out of field

Simple really….not!
I just like to watch it. It is like a game of keep away with muscle-y tough men.....

Yeah. I will eat lots of veggies... and meat. I dont worry about type. And berries. No bread no processed sugar or things like rice pasta. I am in a bad way with my weight and I feel so much better staying away from processed foods sugar and gluten. I also have an eating disorder so any changes put me in a tailspin. I unfortunately can't wean off things I have to make the change and muscle through .....

The landlady loved what I call her Poodle Extravaganzas. The Three Event ones seem to be er favorites, and she really like Dressage. Which I mispronounce on purpose. Of course. I have see a retro "castle" near Lexington KY and they do Renfaires there, not that I would go. They should have Large Poodle events but don't. You can spend the night there at $1,000 per. Yeah . . . no!!!
So if you want to see something funny at the last Olympics snoop dog and Kevin hart had a "show" where they would report on events. So the reported on dressage and snoop dog said its called equestrian, and as the horse did its thing he said the horse was crip walking...he was so excited....it was awesome....

That's funny. I see what he's talking about. Dressage dates back to the middle ages and warhorses and knights an' shit. All that crap is for disposing of other horses and lines of infantry. There's a video out there of a horse stomping a gator, and he fucks up some gator. A few deft moves. People forget how big horses are. Also, they're much smarter than they get credit for.

They are fight or flight. They will run away they will avoid they will spook they will Buck get away from the situation, but if they decide to fight they're going to win they will stop kick bite flail whatever they have to do to get you disposed of. People underestimate animals in general. People like to give animals human emotions and feelings, but dog love and people love or horse love and people love or dog fear and people fear even the concept of time is different between people and animals. I think a lot of people who say animals are dumb or mean or whatever, just don't understand the type of animal and their animal reactions to their environment.

Yes, ma'am!!! One should appreciate their point of view.

It was funny watching Calypso run from Zelda the motorcycle and how he his behind his clueless buddy who was oblivious to everything.

Off to the store . . . .

I was in Cavalry units the first half of my military career. The 4/3 ACR had a 4 horse Cavalry Parade unit that would do big change of commands and the like. Just those four horses thundering across a parade ground was impressive. Now image a 600+ (thank you Lord Tennyson) horse cavalry charge!

The English had Heavy Cavalry and Light Cavalry (Charge of the Light Brigade fame)…can you image the sound of a Heavy Cavalry (300) charge of a Brigade of Friesian War Horses? That had to strike the fear of God in infantry.

Now with the sounds of thundering hoof beats and roaring cannons in your head…your morning Zen😊

EDIT: needed to clean up my numbers for the example of the Light and Heavy Brigades in Crimea.

When we had four, they'd sometimes trot up the hill to the barn at sundown. I'll get sniffly if I think about it too much. I miss the 2 we lost. They were wonderful children.

So here is the run down

1st guy
100$ less
Complained about his full time job
Told me about his family
Has a hand injury that his ft job won't give him workers comp for
Seemed to understand the work but wanted to use a metal barrier on edges --after I told him I want the beds shaped
Showed me pics but the were beds with 1 plant.

2nd guy
100$ more
"Want me to throw an edge on all the beds it will clean stuff up"
I recommend triple black mulch lasts longer...but not forever (so realistic)
When asked about his current job he said yeah he refers a lot of work (is a builder around here that is pretty good to work with) --the builder gave his assurance he does a good job and this guy does work.for his mom too..
When I was talking about a couple spots he said he will use a spade and get rid of them so they stay gone longer.
He didn't talk about/complain about anything...just got down to business

Absolutely worth every copper cent of the $100. And that's how Wat hires subs, too. Cheapest can be a damn sight from good.

Very well done!!!

I just have to tell a mate he hasn’t got my concreting job in the same circumstances. Cheaper but….may I borrow your big girl pants when you are done with them? 😂😇
