NN’s Jim Acosta claimed during his afternoon segment on Tuesday that it was “wildly irresponsible” for former President Donald Trump to accurately note that the U.S. Secret Service failed to protect him from an attempted assassination that left him with a wounded ear.

“The Biden/Harris Administration did not properly protect me, and I was forced to take a bullet for Democracy. IT WAS MY GREAT HONOR TO DO SO!” former President Donald Trump wrote Tuesday on Truth Social.

The 2024 Republican presidential nominee also pointed out shortly after U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned in disgrace that she “never gave me proper protection, so I ended up having to take a bullet for democracy.”

“When you hear the former president saying something like that, what’s your reaction?” Acosta asked his guest. “I mean, obviously, the Secret Service is a professional operation. To say something like ‘they did not protect me,’ it just sounds just wildly irresponsible.”

Amazing recovery powers. A 2 cm wide wound with significant bleeding, and the photo shows a normal ear. Perhaps Jackson meant a 2 mm wide wound. Someone with nearly an inch-wide wound would not likely have just a trickle of blood on his face as in the videos.

A wound that 'extends down to the cartilaginous surface of the ear' translates as he was nicked. The top of his ear was scratched, exposing the cartilage but not damaging it. So, a scratch it was then. How do we know that?

From the short time he was at the hospital and the healing time in the photo with no sign of damage. It's no wonder Trump didn't want the doctors' reports released. Sure, it hurt like a bear, but it was just a very lucky prick of the skin by comparison to a 2 cm flesh wound Johnson said was caused by the bullet. I've had the top of my ear severed, and it hurt like a bear for several months until it felt somewhat better. Trump doesn't show any sign of such an injury with significant damage.

I looked at the CNN timeline account of the incident to see how long Trump was at the hospital. I couldn't determine the actual medical treatment procedure, but I did see this timeline:

• 6:11 pm - The video shows him reaching for his ear and ducking
• 6:51 pm - Trump's press secretary releases a statement that he is "... fine and has been treated."
• 8:42 pm - Truth Social Tweet by Trump, "Was shot by a bullet that pierced the upper part of my ear."
• 8:53 pm - Motorcade leaves the hospital

The time sequence of events between getting shot and the press statement shows a forty-minute period. That includes hustling him off to the hospital and triage period.

Trump says the bullet 'pierced' his ear. Johnson, his personal doctor, says it nicked his ear. Within two hours and forty minutes or so Trump was back in his escort vehicles and gone from the hospital.

This video shows that the ear is healed. So it wasn't a 2 cm wound, nor did a bullet pierce it. Otherwise, it would still be damaged. It was, luckily, a scratch at best.

Ashli Babbitt was being pushed through the doors by the people behind her. She was unarmed, hand her hands out in front of her in plain sight, and the cop shot her anyway.

Here's another fact for your fake lying bullshit narrative; there was a DOCTOR on the scene who was treating Babbitt while they waited for medical personnel to arrive. He was PHYSICALLY THREATENED and forced to stop helping her by Capital police. They forced him to stand there and watch her die while they did nothing to help.
