Kindness costs nothing - and who are we to decide who is deserving or not? Be kind and let karma work it out.To most, some are undeserving of that effort

Yes, we are to decideKindness costs nothing - and who are we to decide who is deserving or not? Be kind and let karma work it out.
I choose kindness. You do what you want.Yes, we are to decide
Some are undeserving, would you be kind to a child molester or a wife beater ? I see horrible human being walking around my city and they deserve nothing kind.
Most people deserve to be treated well and with respect, but not every person. Sounds like a perfect world thing to say, but in practice treating a horrible person well, is rewarding horrible behavior.
This. Absolutely this. You never know what someone is going through in their life. Be kind and considerate to everyone.
Also this. Just in the very least don't be a dick.Kindness costs nothing - and who are we to decide who is deserving or not? Be kind and let karma work it out.
Ugh. Thanks, Travis Bickle. I mean how often do you actually encounter those types? Also that's an extreme example designed only to derail someone's simple point of saying "Let's not be awful to each other."Some are undeserving, would you be kind to a child molester or a wife beater ? Beautifully said.I choose kindness. You do what you want.
Talk about extreme examples. Arguments like that are for argument's sake, alone. I said have karma sort it out because I would rather spread kindness and positivity than be afraid I smiled at someone who didn't deserve it. Or helped someone who didn't deserve it. I'm not going to sit in judgment of others when I do not know their story.
A smile never hurts. And maybe the person doesn't deserve it - but also - maybe they do and it helps them feel better in a moment they needed it.
As I said, I'll let karma work it out.
Then you are privileged enough not to have to deal with such individuals. Rewarding bad behavior, just invites more bad behavior.I choose kindness. You do what you want.

I did too, but I also watched G.I. JoeAlso that's an extreme example designed only to derail someone's simple point of saying "Let's not be awful to each other."
Beautifully said.I'm very glad I grew up watching Mr. Rogers.
I actually work with children from homes where those kinds of terrible behaviors occur. And guess what? I still believe in being kind. Because what problems did getting angry ever solve? Then you are privileged enough not to have to deal with such individuals. Rewarding bad behavior, just invites more bad behavior.
You don't seem to be smiling at me at this moment, but I am
Sure, Jan.Everyday
My favorite episode of GI Joe was the one where the Joe team weren't weird assholes to people.I did too, but I also watched G.I. Joe
Just like you are in the message above.Sure, Jan.

It's a giant responsibilityThere's no such thing as a DD who's single, looking for a serious, committed dynamic. They say all the right things, but r just looking for all the perks of having a devoted sub without giving a 2nd thought to their needs.
You deal with the victims, but are you faced with the responsibility of dealing with the monsters who victimize these innocent children ? Would you be kind to these monsters ?I actually work with children from homes where those kinds of terrible behaviors occur. And guess what? I still believe in being kind. Because what problems did getting angry ever solve?
You know fuck all about me. Don't make assumptions you know nothing about. You know what assuming does, don't you?
Of course I'm faced with also dealing with them. Sometimes I have to pretend like I don't know anything about what is going on while CPS is building a case. Regardless, you made an assumption about me that was incorrect. I'm not going to make assumptions about others that may also be incorrect. It's not my job to stand in judgement. You deal with the victims, but are you faced with the responsibility of dealing with the monsters who victimize these innocent children. Would you be kind to these monsters ?
These innocent children need help, therapy and a lot of love, to undo the damage that was done to them, but they also need justice.
I worked in a prison for a number of years and know, some people need to be held accountable
I do apologize in assuming that about you, I based it off your comments and should have not gone there.
We do not totally disagree, I think we should be respectful and kind to most, but that is where we differ. We have lived different lives and play different roles in society, which is where, our differences in beliefs come from.Of course I'm faced with also dealing with them. I'm going to keep the argument on track tho. If I've been kind to someone who didn't deserve it then I don't actually give a shit. What I do care about is making those around me feel welcomed, cared for, and heard. I know lots of terrible horror stories of things happening to people who didn't deserve it - meted out by the hands of a monster - but I still choose to believe that being kind is the answer every single time.
My mother did her grad work on serial killers. My spouse was a detective for 22 years, add to that, that I worked for a County DD Diversion program that found placement for sex offenders with an IQ of 70 or below, and I can tell you that I know with a certainty the evil that walks among us.We do not totally disagree, I think we should be respectful and kind to most, but that is where we differ. I didn't expect my comment on the subject to create a large reaction, I will drop this and let the thread move on.
I usually go by actions, that's how I make my judgments and decide how to treat people. My mother did her grad work on serial killers. The problem is that you've let the worst 2% of society make you jaded to the other 98% that are good people. Am I going to schedule a prison visit with Dennis Rader just so I can smile at him and be mind? Absolutely not. However, my soul is set to kindness as my default mode. If you've hurt me or someone I hold dear, then we'll go on a case by case basis. However, in don't approach every human interaction questioning myself as to whether or not a person deserves my kindness.
Life is a lot better for me when I assume everyone is doing their best.
Hope you are okay
Whatever it is I hope it’ll be better soon. Hugs!!
