Ok … so does anyone else do this?

Because there have been such debate over the pronunciation of certain words like caramel and pecan… when you actually go to say them in real life … do you have an existential crisis about how you actually say it because you can’t remember how you said it before the debate?

No existential crisis- whatever that is, but yea, I don't know who I am anymore and I freak out.

Absolutely!!! Comically, not on those two words (I didn't know there were more pronunciations of those).. but yeah... I totally do that on words or names that I've heard too many arguments over on how to say it. 🤣🤣🤣

Bologna. Bo-lon-ya. Baloney!?? What!??

I'm 100% confident in Bologna. It's the US that is wrong.

Although I often get struck with semantic satiation. Repeating a word until it no longer sounds like a word, but just meaningless sound.
