Harris/Whitmer

Is Trump on tape, or any Trumplikans, making fun of Whitmer’s assassination plot??
Can she help carry Michigan?

Looks like you've decided Biden is too far gone to actually be an effective pres. We all watched Reagan go thru it. I guess it just depends on which team they play for.

Liver is fine. Kidneys not so much. :)

I already stated that I do not believe Biden should step aside.

Spoken like a true drunk. His kidneys are going first, so he claims his liver is fine.

Biden has a team that can effectively run the country. However, he does not have a sharp enough wit to carry the bulk of the Democratic Party to decisive victories in the Executive, Senatorial, and House races.

Now is not the time for just trying to squeak by. Stand up for women's health rights. Stand up for all human rights. Stand up for world democracies and against tyrants.

The buzz right now is about drafting Scott Kelley (the astronaut / congresscritter dude) for the slot.

He's really anti-gun so not going to win in Red States or swing states.

Would you vote for them?
Would double haters vote for them?
Would moderate republican never trumpers vote for them?
Can two women win?

I put these up because Newsom is toxic in the rust belt - all those swing states.

I'm still in the camp that Biden should not step aside. However I'm not a dumbfuck coward who will stay home when it comes to voting so I'll vote for a potato chip before I'll vote for Trump.

Will people actually show up to vote if the ticket is changed? Will it motivate any of the youth, double haters or laissez faire voters?

Considering what happened to Bernie - all rally/no vote - this needs to be looked at. If we make the switch to win, can we still win if we switch?
We’ve done a pretty good job debating the pros and cons of any option that isn’t Biden / Harris.

The Harris / Whitney twist is interesting in that it risks alienating the racists, misogynists and self loathing women, as well as basic crossover voters who President Biden appeals to because of his experience and proven record over the past three and a half years.

Would those ^ potential lost votes be more than offset by an overwhelming outpouring of young voters and women voters in support of the ticket???

🤔

That ^ is a tough one.

😑

His brain is gone. I shouldn't have to be the one to point it out to you. All you care about is keeping the office, yes? :)

His brain isn't gone though. There is a reason why even the press in their quest to tear down Biden has admitted that if you READ the debate Biden comes across as knowledgable about the facts and Trump is just a WWE promoter. I could cut a Stone Cold or Triple H promo off the top of my head and even hit most of the important talking points on any topic whatsoever. Any subject. I probably couldn't follow the Rock, that man has a genuine gift. He could probably tell me how to bake a cake and I'd remain 100% enthralled for forty five minutes straight. Trump has spent decades as a public persona. That is a skill set and one that should not be underrated.

Virtually NO Democrat has any mike skills. The only one I've seen with any skill had probably planned her spot out weeks in advance. That black chick (Crockette?) She still hasn't earned a save spot in my brain. "Brick built beach body blonde" and lets face it. IF all I had to do was wait until Majory said something stupid I could plan out my line starting in January 2022 and just wait until it would be fun.

Nobody is claiming he's as sharp as he was twelve years ago or even four years ago. However we can look at the results he's gotten, the people he surrounds himself with and policies he champions and get behind him.

If only from a pragmatic standard him stepping down is surrender. The time for him to step down figuratively was in his 2021 State of the Union. Come right out and say it. "I came here because (insert FUCK TRUMP speech here) The kind of speech you can only give when you have no intention of running for anything ever again. Call out to your respected soon to retire colleagues across the aisle. Look at the people who over the last four years have very visibly stepped down and know that just playing the odds there have to be a dozen more who either weren't going to run already or were in a position where being able to say they were ahead of of the return to normalcy or whatever the Right plans on calling the "Fuck you Trump" era they will be forced to enter in 2028 one way or another.

Biden should have spent these years grooming the hell out of Harris. Like he would be in the room when she was making decisions but much like the outgoing boss in a smooth transition "Don't talk to me. I'm just here to to make sure she doesn't walk in front of the Queen or to the left of the Prime Minister.

The time for that passed.

Sorry. You're in denial. :)

we don't actually know that he hasn't been

We know he hasn't been doing it visibly. This isn't about being qualified for the job. Hillary is possibly the only person ever to run who is too good for the job on paper. She's like the person who wants to manage a local McDonalds and you find out their last job was running Marvel's Animation team between 2012 and 2020.

This is about optics. The optics clearly are not there. I don't set the rules..

Quite a few Biden supporters on this board have been in denial but that’s changed dramatically over the past 48 hours or so. The conversation has suddenly shifted from “of course Biden will be the nominee” to “can he survive?” to “what do y’all think about a Harris-Whitman ticket?”

Who could have predicted any of this. It's fucking nuts. :)

To be honest I would have trouble voting for Harris. I think she's incompotent at any job she undertakes and solely propped up by left-leaning media ghouls like on MSNBC. Though I would have less trouble voting for her than I would for Biden right now and I'm still making up my mind on whether I should vote for him at all or a thrid party candidate as a protest vote.

Witmer, I don't know enough about for it to sway my decision for or against.

Who exactly has changed dramatically over hell the last week or two? Like lets just pin it to the the debate. It sure as shit wasn't me. I haven't floated Harris Whitman other than the mildest of acknowledging things can happen. Biden tested positive for Covid. He's old. It could kill him. It could put him in bad enough shape that he can't do anything public for the rest of the year.

Edit: Anything with a D is better than Trump or Vance.
