Sex & Shenanigans

Ok ok … please tell me what is in that.

The base is 2 parts bourbon whiskey to 1 part vermouth. With the whiskey, a rye is preferable, but any bourbon whiskey will do. If you use Irish or blended, you deserve jail time. For the vermouth, you want a rouge or a sweet vermouth. Tip - if you buy it at the grocery store, it's bad vermouth. The one I favor is here. You can also accent with a variety of bitters, but I don't find it essentially. I'll usually garnish with a Luxardo cherry or two, and if you're feeling frisky, you can put a splash of the cherry juice in the shaker.
