Hitler was imprisoned in 1924 as result of an attempt to overthrow the Bavarian Government known as the Beer Hall Putsch where he and his supporters tried to take power. During his imprisonment he wrote ‘Mein Kampf’ which proved to be the blueprint of his aspirations were he to obtain power. His expressed anti semitic attitudes were so pronounced in that polemic such that his subsequent ‘final solution’ of murdering as many Jews as possible was a natural consequence of his beliefs.
