2024 Republican National Convention Thread

I gather, then, it was just more rants, named Vance VP, cheers, and exited stage left... so people could see his right ear wound?
We should all say a silent prayer that of thanks that convicted felon Donald J. Trump did not pick South Dakota's Governor Kristi 'dogkiller' Noem as his running mate.

Republican women in power lately seem to bring a special kind of cruelty to the table. Most recently Iowa governor Kim Reynolds went completely off the rails, declining federal help to provide lunches during the summer time to poor children, which is bad, but then tried to frame her decision as a good thing; "There are plenty of obese poor children here in Iowa, summer is the perfect time for these poor kids to go on diets!'

Cruelty is the point.

Watching a new Trump administration lead the country into a catastrophic train wreck is going to be excruciating.

The GOP will be like the private contractors who have worked for him over the years: First they’re excited to be on board a Trump project, but when they come to collect what was promised to them Trump will hold out and renegotiate the contract, publicly trashing them if they stand up for what was promised. It’s his MO.

With an administration of yes men and courts beholden to him he will owe nothing to anyone and won’t give a shit about who was there for him in the past. He’ll throw anyone under the bus at a whim. No one is immune. It’s simply who he is.

That ^ was downright poetic. Darkly poetic, but poetic.

And I would say it would be poetic justice for the "republicans" to get the Trump treatment, but we will all undoubtedly get the Trump treatment if he wins again.

I’m going to vote like my life depends on it.

And if Trump somehow wins and tries to become a dictator for even one day, well…

The "price of gas" argument is especially egregious. The price of gas on convicted felon Donald J. Trump's last day in office WAS historically low....but that was because demand was virtually non-existent, due to everyone working from home as a result of convicted felon Donald J Trump's botched response to the Covid pandemic.
