goodseems to me that cannon chose this specific moment to release the news of dismissing this case—so it surfs the swell of sympathy for the former president-turned-convicted-felon and garners the least public resistance

Going into the convention with the biggest case against him dismissed.seems to me that cannon chose this specific moment to release the news of dismissing this case—so it surfs the swell of sympathy for the former president-turned-convicted-felon and garners the least public resistance
Yeah, that damn Constitution!Going into the convention with the biggest case against him dismissed.
You don't care about that. You support the guy who wants to be a dictator (wait I know it's just for a single day so that makes it okayYeah, that damn Constitution!
this doesn't give Thomas a veto.Take note that any appeal to the 11th Circuit will wind up in front of Justice Thomas who supervises the 11th Circuit and who wrote the concurring decision that contained the legal points on Jack Smith's appointment that Judge Cannon used to dismiss the case.
Yes, I want him as dictatorYou don't care about that. You support the guy who wants to be a dictator (wait I know it's just for a single day so that makes it okay) who wants to suspend the constitution if he wins.
So patriotic of you to destroy the country so you think you can own the libs.
What’s destroying our country is the democrats incessant use of lawfare over the rule of law.You don't care about that. You support the guy who wants to be a dictator (wait I know it's just for a single day so that makes it okay) who wants to suspend the constitution if he wins.

If it's reversed on appeal, the case will be remanded back to Cannon's courtroom. Smith can at that point take up the recusal motion but a reversal isn't a sufficient basis for recusal.
Again, dipshit, the example you need to speak to is right above you. What’s destroying our country is the democrats incessant use of lawfare over the rule of law.

I trust his judgement

"Judge Cannon’s ruling, which would invalidate the appointment of any special counsel, is unlikely to get five votes in the Supreme Court."
Who said it did? We know how he would initially rule. Smith would still have the ability to request a full court hearing on the issue. The point is it would not be heard at the earliest until next year when the question will be moot.this doesn't give Thomas a veto.
I believe Smith is neither a US attorney nor federal prosecutor, he’s a U.S. citizen and doesn’t have under constitutional law the authority to prosecute federal cases, IMHOIt’s that bit from @butters post that people seem to have not taken into consideration.
Make sure you visit a National cemetery sometime and piss on a couple of World War 2 veterans headstones. Publicly show your support for Fascism.Yes, I want him as dictator

Well now, that being the case you must be absolutely appalled at the extra-constitutional mandates and EO's that have been pouring out of the Biden administration.I admire your honesty, even though I think this is about the most un-American thing a person can say.
I don't trust ANY leader's judgment. In a decent, constitutional system, we limit the leader's power because we have to imagine someone whose views we hate assuming the powers we've given to the leader.
We've never seen anything quite like this before. Trump doesn't want to be limited or regulated by any laws, and his followers are just fine with that. It's the first time in American history that we have a presidential candidate as cult leader.
Are you appalled? Trump had signed 220 executive orders during his four years in office, while Biden is at 139 so far.Well now, that being the case you must be absolutely appalled at the extra-constitutional mandates and EO's that have been pouring out of the Biden administration.
I finally got through Judge Cannon's long opinion. It almost certainly will be reversed by the 11th Circuit, and I doubt the Supreme Court will rule in favor of Judge Cannon's opinion, even if it grants the cert petition, which it may not. It may not matter, of course, if Trump is elected (as I think he probably will be) and shuts down the prosecution, as he is likely to do.
Go here and read the concurring decision of Justice Thomas on the immunity decision for the legal reasons why Smith won't be able to reverse the decision:I finally got through Judge Cannon's long opinion.
