Thanks, Biden!!!

Grocery prices increased only 1% over the last 12 months, and are currently falling. 🎉

Grocery prices were up just 1% over the past 12 months, well within historic norms; and the cost of a few items, including rice, fish, apples, potatoes, and milk, has even come down a bit.

As major chains such as Target, Amazon and Walmart announce price cuts in recent weeks, there are signs the situation could continue to improve.

and yet the media continues to push the narrative of sky-high grocery costs without ever mentioning the price-gouging by the greedy mega chains all keen on driving up their profits (and allowing the inflation-blame game to point directly at Biden)

President Biden sends clarifying letter to Democrat politicians:
"Now that you have returned from the July 4th recess, I want you to know that despite all the speculation in the press and elsewhere, I am firmly committed to staying in this race, to running this race to the end, and to beating Donald Trump," he writes.

"I have had extensive conversations with the leadership of the party, elected officials, rank and file members, and most importantly, Democratic voters over these past 10 days or so. I have heard the concerns that people have - their good faith fears and worries about what is at stake in this election. I am not blind to them. Believe me, I know better than anyone the responsibility and the burden the nominee of our party carries. I carried it in 2020 when the fate of our nation was at stake," he says.

"We had a Democratic nomination process and the voters have spoken clearly and decisively. I received over 14 million votes, 87% of the votes cast across the entire nominating process. I have nearly 3,900 delegates, making me the presumptive nominee of our party by a wide margin. This was a process open to anyone who wanted to run. Only three people chose to challenge me.

"The voters of the Democratic Party have voted. They have chosen me to be the nominee of the party. Do we now just say this process didn't matter? That the voters don't have a say?"

"I decline to do that. I feel a deep obligation to the faith and the trust the voters of the Democratic Party have placed in me to run this year. It was their decision to make. Not the press, not the pundits, not the big donors, not any selected group of individuals, no matter how well intentioned. The voters - and the voters alone - decide the nominee of the Democratic Party.vHow can we stand for democracy in our nation if we ignore it in our own party? I cannot do that. I will not do that."
indeed, Mr. President.

Oh, and thanks Joe Biden and Dr. Fauci for standing up to the Deplorables on public health measures. Things are bad because the Deplorables have undermined every effort to get people vaccinated, or to get tested, or to wear masks. But, things would be much worse than they are right now if the Deplorables were still running the White House.
Let's Go Joe!!!

Dec. 7 (UPI) -- After reaching a record-high trade deficit in September, the difference closed to $67.1 billion, its lowest point in six months, according to new data from the Commerce Department Thursday.

October's figure was 17.6% lower than the $81.4 billion in September, which was an all-time high. Experts believe the change could be proof that the worldwide supply chain, which has been in chaos since the coronavirus pandemic, may be slowly returning to normal.

A jump in oil exports helped close the U.S. trade deficit as Gulf Coast refineries return to full operation after summer storms. The computer chip shortage that had hobbled the new auto production industry for more than a year appeared to be improving with an increase in auto imports and exports.

..

Indeed, the pandemic did not end on Easter of 2020 as claimed by the Deplorables' cult leader, and they continue to drag down the nation on getting it under control. But thanks for standing up to their bullshit and incivility, and continue to advocate for getting the pandemic under control.

You guys both have a lot of class not to stoop to the level of

incivility being displayed by the Deplorable death cult.

Failure Fauci lied about AIDS, facial masks that he knew all along was total bullshit. That children are less vulnerable, have lost almost two years of school. And 6 feet social distancing? A stupid, useless rule.

Keep Walmart and nudie bars open, but get fined just for going to church. Outside is safer than not.

Dr. Fauci should be in jail. He made four times the salary of the president. (@$2.3 million a year.) He's a narcissistic liar, has a severe God complex, and a true enemy of the state.

When you were a kid, did your parents feed you bags of large lead paint chips and call them Doritos???

It’s totally fair to criticize Tump for keeping that incompetent fool around. Problem is Biden did too.

One of the problems with JD is that many people are no longer buying their products in part due to policies of that CEO.

A new economic index says the economy is strong

Zeta Global (ZETA), an artificial intelligence-powered marketing cloud, says its new index, detailed exclusively to USA TODAY, can show the health of the U.S. economy every month with a single number. In June, the index ticked up to 66 – solidly within its "active" range and defined as "robust economic activity."

"We're largely trying to forecast GDP," CEO David Steinberg said. "The differentiator between the Zeta Economic Index and all the other indexes out there is we layer on top of it the actual behaviors of the 240 million Americans who are in our data cloud.”

That's not a fair comparison. The issue is not Biden last month, last year, or in 1980. This is about doing a crisis job tomorrow, the next day--and for the next four and a half years. It's not even about the will to do the job or the experience and proof of intent to do the job. It's about the sustained mental capacity to do the job henceforth.

Barring ONE bad DEBATE performance due to the self-inflicted DIAGNOSED exhaustion from a overloaded schedule, a nagging cold (PROBABLY related to the exhaustion), and poor debate prep (POSSIBLY related to the exhaustion), President Biden has been (in general) solid AF.

Better management of the star player’s minutes will undoubtedly keep him fresh for crunch time / clutch moments.

(That ^ is the primary reason I lay some blame for the poor debate performance on President Biden’s advisors, etc.)

This is so obvious it shouldn’t need saying.

But expect resistance, diversion and deflection from JBs cling ons.

In that respect, Trump doesn't have the sustained mental capacity to do the job today, tomorrow, in a month, in a year or for the next four and a half years. Or judgment.

I'm really not too worried as long as he's got the experienced team around him. And if push comes to shove I don't have issues with Kamala.
