there’s a bit of talk in the beginning of how little they get paid … with the owners daughter even saying it should be a “privilege” and they shouldn’t expect better pay.
While I think it’s atrocious they don’t get paid better … after remembering that the NFL only plays one game a week … how many working hours per week are these girls putting in I wonder.
Maybe the show addresses this later on.. I’m only on episode 3

I think I’m generally more optimistic than you, but, most, like ALL of space outside our atmosphere is trying really really really hard to kill us. Beautiful, dead planets don’t seem all that appealing to me.

Been there, am there.

It has been about 100 for a week out here. I am in an apartment while waiting for the house to sell, so only a single portable AC, which is usually in the living room, but I wheeled into the Kid's room so she could get some sleep (both of our bedrooms get a lot of day sun). So I am getting to sleep later and later, but my body decides I should still wake up at 6:30. A lot of dreams, vivid, and some I wish would just be fucking nightmares instead. Makes for a short, yet incredibly long night.

I wish you sleep, my friend. More than you know, I wish you sleep.

Sleep rules. Way more than any of the kinks on this site, realizing how many folks have trouble doing that is the most eye opening parts of this place.

Agreed. And also…I’m okay with being alone. Doesn’t bother me. But this is beyond that. Like Monkey said, everything outside my pressurized ship is absolutely, completely lethal. I’m alone, and in a totally hostile environment.
It’s the epitome of the concept of “the jungle.” Not only am I completely isolated, I only have this infinitesimally small pocket where I’m able to survive, and not only is the outside environment lethal, simply by being what it is, it’s so extreme that my chances of survival are slim to none because my little pocket is being slowly stressed and worn away by it.

Yeah, I tried, but I couldn't do it. I can handle over the top depravity and/or gross out humor for the length of a film, if done well, but immersing myself into that sort of world for a series isn't someplace I am right now. Or ever, really. And sexual assault as humor is a line too far for me. No judgement on anyone who loves it -- catharsis is catharsis, and humor is humor, and I don't yuck anyone's yum or judge them for it -- but I can't watch it.
