The Israelis subsequently created a 17 year naval blockade of Gaza, prohibiting international trade and the importation of food, fuel and medical supplies. And some Israeli politicians joked that they succeeded in creating the "world's largest outdoor prison".

Slow strangulation of an entire populace over the course of almost two decades certainly fits MY definition of "trying to wipe it out". YMMV.
Good

There's also the possibility that the IDF used the cover story of "hostage rescue" to justify killing 200+ civilians without fear of reprisal. The IDF has a documented history of indifference towards civilian casualties in Gaza.

Poll: 67% of Palestinians Support October 7 Attack, Expect Hamas to Win

185Joel Pollak / Breitbart News

A new poll by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PSR) reveals that 67% of Palestinians still support the October 7 terror attacks, and the same proportion believe that Hamas will win the war with Israel.

The proportion of Palestinians who support the October 7 attack has fallen only 4% since a similar poll in March.

The poll shows that the drop in support for October 7 was entirely in Gaza, where support fell from 71% to 53%. Support for the October 7 attacks among Palestinians in the West Bank, far from the fighting, actually rose 2%.

The poll’s authors noted that 82% of respondents believe that October 7 and the war have “revived international attention to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and that it could lead to increased recognition of Palestinian statehood.”

US humanitarian aid pier off Gaza to halt shipments for 3rd time in a month

The U.S. military is planning to suspend operations of its pier off Gaza on Friday, temporarily moving the floating structure to an Israeli port to ride out high seas and rough waves expected to hit the region in coming days, according to an official familiar with the plans.

It's the third time in a month that the structure halted operations due to weather and is the latest setback for the ambitious $230 million humanitarian project involving 1,000 US troops.

"We are doing everything we can to make it work," the official said.

Complicating the matter is that humanitarian aid that has been transported ashore via the pier is being held at a nearby facility after the U.N. suspended deliveries last week due to security concerns. The U.N. said Friday it does not have a timeline for when distribution might resume.

Washington is not telling truth about the Gaza pier

They say food is ‘flowing’ to the people, but data shows the opposite. Pull the curtain down on this theater now.

The Biden administration wants you to believe the U.S. is leading international efforts to get humanitarian relief into Gaza and that supplies are “flowing to Palestinians” via the military’s pier operation there.

On Monday, Pentagon spokesman Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder announced that to date,1,573 tons of aid had been delivered from the pier to the beach, including 492 tons since it reopened on Saturday after some bad weather knocked it out of commission last month.
But supplies from the pier aren’t flowing to Palestinians, and never really have.

Hardly any food from the pier on the Gaza coast has actually reached starving Gazans since it became operational on May 17. The World Food Program (WFP) said only 15 trucks from the pier reached its warehouse inside Gaza for distribution from May 17-18, and that no aid came from the pier from May 19–21.

Do you support getting aid to people who need it or no?

Do you support getting aid to people who need it or no?
It depends. I support some private ventures, but it isn't the burden of the American taxpayer to shoulder the burden of their atrocious aggression against their neighbor. I said early on the pier and the use of our military to construct it was a bad idea.

So you don't support aid to people in need unless they meet your criteria.

Got it.

So you don't support giving aid to people in need and you dehumanize those people to make yourself feel better.

Got it.
Hamas was a product of the people of Gaza. The loss of innocent lives in Israel's response is on Hamas and its Arab supporters alone. They have a right to eradicate Hamas to the last man.

You continue to demonstrate my point. Conflation is civilians and terrorists is not productive.

Terrorists are civilians.
Civilians don't engage in hostilities.

Probably should study up a bit.

Then again, you believe all Democrats are terrorists, so it's no wonder that rules of engagement in war is an issue for you.

Doesn't matter, I did. Gaza for all intents and purposes is a terror state. They voted for Hamas and the vast majority of the people there supported Oct.7.
First of not all the Palestinian are agreed with Hamas, second of all when more than 7000 kids were killed by Israeli army, it is clear that they will support Hamas, no matter Hamas is a terrorist group or a nationalist group.

He doesn't seek any rational thoughts. He seems to explain away any humanity that Palestinians deserve.

Show me where I said all "Democrats are terrorists."

The majority of them support Hamas and the Oct.7 slaughter. Deaths that occur are on Hamas and their supporters.

Were all of the Japanese people responsible for Pearl Harbor which resulted in the deaths of some three million Japanese citizens and roughly 66 Japanese cities destroyed? Are you getting the picture?
