The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

It lives in our area. Every couple years has 1 or 2 cubs.
I've heard we have bears in our neighborhood also. We are semi-rural. I've never seen them. I've seen deer, coyotes, bobcat, raccoons, opossum and other wildlife. Yesterday, a duck family was on a busy road. I stopped to let mama and the lings cross in front of me.

Exotic meat is a thing. Moose elk bison bear kangaroo....some places even eat lion zebra etc..... or so I have heard....against the law but when you have $$$$$$$$$the rules change
I've eaten elk, venison, bison, and ostrich. The ostrich was very lean and dry. Elk and venison I had when I was a child and didn't like the gamey-ness of it. Perhaps I would like it better now.

Home. Dinner out was great. We had a fabulous visit. It's not very often that I'm the youngster of a group, but it was that way at supper. I won the rifle auction. We'll figure out shipping tomorrow. Should be a somewhat less busy day. TDK is okay. We leave Saturday morning early. The weather has been good while we were here, even the rainy bits.

Wat has lazy days, too. It's been a motivating week here. Felt like doing stuff where I like to do stuff, so I did stuff.

I need to decorate that post a bit more tomorrow.

All y'all sleep well. Behaving is overrated. In the morning . . . .
I'm glad you had a good dinner with your friends, Wat! ❤️🥰

I not had peacock but have had wild pheasant. I love it! 😋
We eat a lot of pheasant and partridge. Wild goose gets smoked or made into burgers. Duck, pigeon and other stuff goes into game terrine I make plus the above.

I occasionally get given a deer in skin which I sort, butcher and freeze. Last venison we had left went into pies. You wouldn't know it wasn't steak. Slow cooked in Guiness with onions and mushrooms. Reduced then put in the pie cases.
