Well, the floating pier is in shambles and a couple of Army ships holding it are aground in Gaza. One giant embarrassment for Joe Biden's inept planners.
Didn't we have to build that thing because the Israelis weren't letting us use other, closer, more effective facilities to provide aid supplies?

@Sean Renaud

Gaza is dominated by HAMAS. They pretend a bit democracy to get money from the UN and the EC. HAMAS ideology is a fundamentalistic Islam. The goal of HAMAS is not a Palaestina state. It is the annihilating of all Jews in the Near East. And the first massacres on Jews by Arabs started already in the 1920ies.

Do you want to say that this is not true or unimportant?

They don't pretend democracy. The majority of the citizens of Gaza were children or not even born the last time there was anything resembling an election there. Hamas' goal is to drive Israel from the land sure but they don't have the means to do so. PRetty much nothing that happened in 1920 is particularly important. Especially since the powers that were were European. Hating Jews is the only universally agreed upon global past time surpassing soccer/football by a small margin.

Nice,

so you think the goal to annihilate all Jews is acceptable as it is unlikely that HAMAS can achieve that. And the point that Arabs tried already since the 1920 to kill the Jews is also not important.

Would the goal of HAMAS be important if thy get a state, rule it and build up an army?

And, from your point of view, Israel has to accept that Jewish people are killed, raped and tortured because HAMA killed, raped and tortured only a minority?

Is that an overall principle from your point of view that people have to accept that some of them are killed, raped and tortured as long as you think it is not possible to kill, rape and torture all?

Would that mean for example that from your point of view the USA has to accept that North Korea annihilates New York with a nuke as North Korea cannot annihilate whole of USA?

There is no Caliphate and Hamas isn't even on good terms with Al Qaeda or as you correctly point out most of the Muslim world. There is no Muslim unity to speak of. They will never live happy independent lives until the US steps up and slaps Israel which will happen right around when Harry Potter Fans abandon JK Rowling the author of the Neo Testiment of hate.
There is no Confederacy, but white supremacists keep the dream alive of the South rising again and putting African Americans back in their place as second-class citizens. The same is true of Palestinian Arabs. For centuries the Arabs held the whip hand over Jews in the Middle East. The founding of Israel in 1948 shattered the myth of Arab supremacy. There won’t be peace until the Palestinian Arabs accept that Israel isn’t “theirs” and Jews in the Middle East are never going back to being “happy darkies” ruled by their Arab masters.

The indiscriminate bombing by soulless Israeli pilots makes modern anti-aircraft artillery the highest priority if/when Gaza achieves statehood. Israel primary method of sowing terror amongst their neighbors is the indiscriminate seemingly random bombing.

Anti-aircraft systems would go a long way towards "levelling the playing field" and humbling the "neighborhood bully" Israel, as Israeli civilians decry any military activity that might result in the loss of Israeli life (which is tacit support for aerial bombardment).

Gaza doesn't really need an army. They need AA batteries and a functional navy to prevent naval blockades.

"if at first you don't succeed, give up" would make a great Rightguide family motto.
The effort failed because it was a bad plan conceived by 20 somethings in the Biden White House and America's new found Amphibious Warfare expert, Tony Blinken. All were warned it was a bad plan.

Nikki Haley Writes ‘Finish Them!’ on Israeli Bomb After Refugee Massacre

Days after dozens of Palestinians were killed by Israeli air strikes against displacement camps in Southern Gaza, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley wrote “Finish them!” on Israeli artillery shells.

Haley, who recently sputtered in her bid to defeat former President Donald Trump for the 2024 Republican nomination, toured a kibbutz ravaged by Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack against Israel in the company of current Knesset member and former UN Envoy Danny Danon

“If you think this will only be in Israel, if we are arrogant enough, this could absolutely happen in America too and this is the moral of this story,” Haley said at one point during the visit.

Danon posted a collage of photos on Tuesday showing Haley writing on an artillery shell. “Finish them! This is what my friend, the former ambassador, Nikki Haley wrote today on a shell during a visit to an artillery post on the northern border,” Danon wrote.

I'm sure you're conflicted between agreeing with her and denigrating her.

G-d damn, Laz, I read the article.
The article says "Hamas fired rockets on Tel Aviv". A delicate bit of wordsmithing by the Israeli Genocide Force never says exactly WHERE the rockets were fired from, only that Israel retaliated.

And where did they target their retaliation? On a strip of land previously marked as a safe zone.

Israel did this deliberately.

Amoral, gutless butchers of women and children. Israel is a terrorist nation.

White House signals Rafah strike doesn’t cross ‘red line’

The White House on Tuesday indicated an Israeli strike that killed dozens of Palestinians in Rafah did not cross a “red line” that would lead to a change in U.S. policy.

Multiple administration officials in press briefings Tuesday described the images out of Rafah as “heartbreaking,” “tragic” and “horrific.” But there was no sign of an impending policy change as a result, because it was an airstrike and not a major ground operation.

“We still don’t believe that a major ground operation in Rafah is warranted. We still don’t want to see the Israelis, as we say, smash into Rafah with large units over large pieces of territory. We still believe that, and we haven’t seen that at this point,” White House spokesperson John Kirby told reporters.

“As a result of this strike on Sunday, I have no policy changes to speak to,” he added. “It just happened. The Israelis are going to investigate it. We’re going to be taking great interest in what they find in that investigation. And we’ll see where it goes from there.”

Your Uncle Joe thinks it was no big deal. How does that make you feel, does that give you a little rumble in the tummy?

I'm sure you're conflicted between agreeing with her and denigrating her.
Her embrace of a hawkish persona signals a deliberate reinforcement of her stance, perhaps driven by a perceived necessity. While some may find it unpalatable, my personal indifference remains steadfast. It's depressing to consider the possibility of Trump extending an olive branch and potentially integrating her into his administration.
