Let's say there's this A-list, highly respected Hollywood actress; a perennial Oscar nominee. She has a daughter, around 20, who also wants to be an actress. Only problem is, she has no talent whatsoever. She gets a few small roles off her looks and her mother's connections, but her performances are so awful that she becomes a running joke, and mocked as a nepo baby.

Somehow the daughter ends up doing porn, and somehow she manages to drag her mother into it too. Any ideas how?

I can think of at least three main stream actresses that went kinky.

Read up on Teri Weigel for one and see if anything in her history fits a story line for you. I remember an interview with her on one of those night time entertainment shows, but I can't remember the name of it. Entertainment Tonight possibly. Not sure of she had any kids though, but you can wing that.


There was also a Disney kid that did it.

I find this idea fantastically unlikely. There are just too many avenues for a celeb's child to go down if they don't have their parent's talents. Money will buy you into some terrific schools. Porn would be way, way, way down that list.

I think the idea could work but it needs a tinkering, cause as Rob said if she she wants to act and doesn’t have talent, there are other ways than porn (especially since studios that actually have enough plot for it to be called acting are few and far between…and even then, they would probably be shaky to take her on since even if they got a bump in viewers, the shitstorm mom and her lawyers could stir up wouldn’t be worth it.

So what if instead: daughter doesn’t want to act necessarily but she does want to get a name for herself. She can’t act herself and she knows it. She writes a script and it gets bought and optioned…only for her to find out her mom had the studio buy it up. She tries her hand at directing and is allowed to do assistant directing on a small film: but once she watches it, she realizes the scenes she shot were all thrown in the cutting room floor: mom used her ability to have the director redo the scenes she shot. Daughter tries getting into EDM: mom has the record company never release the album.

Daughter confronts mom and mom tries to be nice at first but then comes down hard: she cannot afford to let daughter screw anything up. Mom did everything she could to get to where she is and a big part of it has been not allowing any embarassing stories of her or her family to get out. She then says she can get daughter a nice, well paying job well outside of the arts and daughter can do any creative pursuits as little personal hobbies. She loves her daughter but if the family is to maintain its status then mom has to remain on top.

Daughter of course thinks of ways to rebel but she just can’t. She’s never been about partying: she just wants to make movies…but she knows her mom will shut down any project that has to go through even the smallest studio. She even has contacts at Google who would make sure daughter’s vids don’t get posted to YouTube if they don’t pass muster. Daughter also doesn’t want to make a big news story, she just wants to be able to share her creativity.

…but mom can’t control Onlyfans…especially if daughter is behind the camera. One of daughter’s few vices is going to strip clubs and going to brothels in Nevada. While she enjoys sex, she also just likes hanging out with the women there, some of whom are trying to get their Onlyfans going but don’t know much about lighting, filming , and editing. Daughter offers to help them out and becomes their camerawoman and editor. Daughter eventually gets a stable of models and is able to do her work very carefully while using a pseudonym and hiding the transactions as less controversial work.

As time goes on, she even uses connections to get the girls spaces to shoot more complex vids and even writes scripts for their erotic audio. of course the girls, who have come to like her quite a bit, wonder when she’ll come on camera (since if there’s one thing I’ve learned, the cameraman’s other duty is back up cock/strap on and all other behind the scenes duties)

Honestly the easiest way to work this is to have a mother/father who was always in a borderline soft porn sort of part. She may or may not have talent in and of herself and I'm in no mood to argue what actors are or aren't good at their craft vs carved out a niche/were born for certain roles and other stuff.

Then you have a daughter with a banging bod, a healthy libido and doesn't see porn as a bad thing. I have a hard time thinking that someone like Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra or Jenny McCarthy could form a coherent argument over why her baby should take cumshots and headshots.(I don't know the genders or even if all of them have kids, don't care)

Roping the mom in is gonna be tough though. That only works in some world where Me2 never happened, a star who is far enough up the food chain to get her daughter lots of gigs but low enough that she's not gonna change the world by coming forward. Some one in that Amber Heard, Kat Dennings (Gods that woman is hot) stretch of the world. Despite Kat being talented if you told me she took a shot in the mouth to get '2 Broke Girls' on the air I would simply thank the kind gentlemen to donated to one of my favorite shows of the 2010s. At this point she's probably about as famous as she's gonna be but could open doors.

Enter the daughter. Actually more talented than her mother but not quite the looker. STill enough that she gets a similar deal to get a staring role and Weinerstien threatens to make it public what the daughter did or at least how she got into it yadda yadda Might work.

I guess what seemed self-explanatory to me isn't to others: That's kind of the core concept. The erotic thrill was meant to be inherent in the scenario where an A-list actress does porn, precisely because that is not something we would expect someone like that to do. The storytelling challenge is to come up with a way to make it halfway believable nevertheless, and the nepo kid daughter is the premise I thought could be used to achieve that in an interesting way.

If, for example, the mother is worried that the daughter is so desperate and depressed that she could relapse into a drug addiction, that could make her more vulnerable to manipulation. Or maybe she somehow becomes convinced that the director of the indie movie is some mad genius auteur, and that the film could be a masterpiece that will finally win her an Oscar if they can complete it. Maybe by nepo-momming earlier, she got caught in something like the "Varsity Blues" scandal that Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin were mixed up in, and in the fallout she has lost most of her support network that used to protect her from rash decisions and being taken advantage of. There are lots of possibilities.

Kim Kardashian's career (and the whole Kardashian empire) was launched by a sex tape, and her then-stepfather was a celeb, while her biological father was a well-known Hollywood lawyer and bit-player in the OJ Simpson trial.

And anyway, are children of famous people known for making good decisions? You're assuming the child wants to go to a terrific school. It seems to me that what a lot of them want is attention.

My idea is the mom notices that the types of offers she gets have changed and now she is being offered roles as "the mom". She tries to buck it but even though she is well respected, she's just not getting more juicy offers. She finally thinks she is getting a good offer only for it to be as the grandmother and this is a huge blow to her ego.

The daughter meanwhile is trying to get established. She's not particularly bad, but definitely middle of the road. She's an attractive blond which are a dime a dozen. Nothing stands out about her, even her name is not the boost she thought it would be.

The daughter gets a sketchy low budget movie, think Troma, with copious amounts of nudity. The mom comes on the set to try to get them to tone down the nudity. Everyone there is fawning over the mom treating her better than the studious treated her at her height. She reluctantly agrees but finds she has a fun time, getting to improve in places and even help out with the directing or whatever else needs doing.

Daughter gets into porn and really enjoys it. Mom sees how happy and well treated the daughter is and becomes a little jealous. The producers really wanting to get the mom on film make a hail Mary through and to the surprise of everyone including herself she accepts. And thus begins her second career.

For me, this story would fit better in the late 70s and 80s, before the internet when porn almost became legitimate.

I very much doubt money could be the main or even major motivation here. Although I recon Hollywood adjacent partying lifestyle can be extremely expensive, but at that point it wouldn't be halfway covered by plain porn shots either, probably. Sure, any pocket change that's *not* from the parents is of infinitely higher value exactly for that illusion of independence. And that's where the downfall of the daughter most likely starts, pure rebellion.

Could be something as stupid as some semi-famous photographer/cameraman/whatever setting up a camera in a bedroom behind some party and start photographing two girls as a quite transparent form of foreplay. Maybe the other girl is even more naive and doesn't realize what's going on until her bra is off and they doing some, not necessarily completely mock kissing. She comes to her senses then, and run out, laughed after by our wanna be starlet who stays and strips all the way and fucks the guy. Either she's into the guy for real or thinks he will advance her career. Well he does, just in a different direction. She's didn't thought it through, but probably wasn't too scared of a few photos showing skin. But the camera was on the tripod and the guy switched to video mode after the photo session...

Not necessarily blackmail. Not out all over the internet next day type of catastrophe. A private sex tape circulated between friends... who doesn't have some such? Our daughter is being led to believe it's almost a common thing. Slightly embarrassing, maybe, at first, but everyone's good friends and it's a good laugh, and exciting in a way she didn't expect. And there's seemingly no immediate consequences. If the barrier for the first was low, it's even easier to do it again, even more openly. Still "private" still "managed" but she's increasingly known for doing and loving that kind of attention. And of course it seeps out eventually.

Perhaps... the concept of a not-at-all bad movie with lots of skin and real or borderline real fucking, but also realistic plot and passable action was an unfortunately rather short lived phenomenon mostly contained to Europe and last quarter of twenty century, but there's a nonzero set of such out there. The story could either be set in an era and circle it was a thing, or someone could attempt, or promise to attempt to recreate that kind of content anew. Not necessarily successfully or even in good faith to begin with.

The second I read this premise, my first thought was Lori Loughlin's blacklist that happened when she tried to falsify her daughter's credentials so she could go to a good college, and her daughter only wanted to go to college to have the college experience (the ones seen in porn or American Pie movies). You could try an alternate reality where it's her daughter who goes into porn and pulls her in as well.
